    Brewing kits

I make mostly Woodforde kits. Always a good result. As for cider, not heard many good things about those kits. I tried one, tastless.

    Bread ****

I have given up on kneading! I use the no-knead method. But hoping for a good stand mixer so i can branch out in to some more enriched doughs. Roll on Christmas!

    Tidal energy.

My fist attempt at a driving test today!!! I was out yesterday in Swansea and the signage is patchy at best. It feels like today and the next couple of week for those taking their driving test its going to be a nightmare. Oh well, should be better for my second attempt lol.

What do you do with beers you don't like?

Depends on how hopped it is!! Force it on the wife, father in law, and lots of lemonade is the way to go! Bust as others said, keep a while, normally improves, use for cooking, good for batters and stouts making stews and slow roasts.

Rumour? is Wilko's going into administration?

Been using the plastic bucket for years! Gone though a few now, and still make lovely kit beer. Drinking one now, a Wilko Chocmeister.

    NOG problem

Personnaly I prefer it to be less carbonated. Only problem that I I can see woukd be oxidation, but if the bottle was full enough thus won't matter anyway. Drink and enjoy!

    Stuff you used to drink.

Mine was a bottle of dog...Newcastle Brown. £1.08 in a Manchester pub where I worked in the late 80s.

Nitrous oxide: Laughing gas sales to be banned, says Gove

NOS is being limited in birthing suites because if the now know effects. It can't be used unless adequate ventilation if available in many hospitals.

Nitrous oxide: Laughing gas sales to be banned, says Gove

Ban kitchen knives then...plenty of knife crime is carried out using them. But in all seriousness I think it's a good move. The biggest problem is for legitimate users having to jump through hoops to get hold of it. They will also need extra security measures at where they use it.

Nitrous oxide: Laughing gas sales to be banned, says Gove

Personally banning Gove and the rest of the Tories would be a better plan.

Nitrous oxide: Laughing gas sales to be banned, says Gove

The problem with that is, any minister who takes a dislike to something, beer for example ( might be due to beer alcohol related crime, or just a prohibition throwback), could interject alcohol and we'd all be criminals.

What are you listening to tonight.

My ears are bleeding 😢. On holiday in Tenerife and just suffered an Elton John tribute. Elton has poor intonation now, although some of his songs a fab. I had to walk out after Singing the Blues. Arghhh

    Guitar solos

Lots of older stuff for me. Especially old blues. But my favourite by far is Brian May coning into We will Rock You. Not sure why, but it just seems to grab and hold the whole song together. Just wish it lasted longer. That to me is a mark of a good solo.
