    Setup help lindr

It could be a bad keg. It does happen so might be worth talking to the suppliers about it.

    My Brewdays

Surely the question is to add 100g or 150g ;)

    GAS bbq...

I was going to go for a broil king but I was in costco and they have some by kitchen aid (the ones who make expensive food mixers for baking). Its all stainless steel and the main cook box of the unit it enamel coated in the same way the inside of your oven is so it wont rust and is much easier...

    Grain Mill

I got mine from brewkegtap and its been great for me so far. Also it includes the base board to attach it to. https://brewkegtap.co.uk/products/kegland-malt-muncher-grain-mill-3-roller-1?_pos=1&_sid=668dd5140&_ss=r

    Dry Hopped Lager

I did think that but I lager in my kegs and carbonate at the same time and dry hopping into a carbonated beer is not ideal. I think I’m going to just treat it like normal and add the hops during the diacetyl rest where the temps are higher, cold crash and keg then hopefully the aroma will last...

    Dry Hopped Lager

That’s my worry. I want to keep the aroma but have a crisp clear drink. Maybe I’m asking be too much 😂

    Dry Hopped Lager

Does anyone have any recommendations for dry hopped lager recipes? I'm thinking of trying to do a pilsner and following the usual 4 week post fermentation lagering process but I wanted to dry hop it. I was under the impression that dry hopping was best at a warmer temperature but also you lose...

    Ooni Pizza ovens

Have a look at smoking on a gas bbq. You use tin foil on wood chips and place it directly on one of the burners to flavour food.

    Ooni Pizza ovens

Ive got one of the ones where you use (unprocessed) wood and its a pain to be honest because you have to wait after adding wood for the smoke to clear and it doesnt give you a great window to cook before having to repeat. The pellet ones seem a better option for home use. That or the multi fuel...

    Hazelwood’s Brewday Part 2

I have one of those filters and just make sure you get the top fitting as snug as you can because mine was a nightmare to get it to seal. Tested mine with starsan and then hooked it up to my CO2 supply.

    No chill no dry hop

You could skip the whole process and just buy beer from the shop 😂

    "Beer Masters" Amazon Prime videos

It was refreshing to see a competition type show that didn’t punish mistakes with being kicked out of the competition. Would have been good to see an anything goes round where you just make your favourite beer!

    "Extra Bitter" Pilsner

With that grain bill isn’t it just going to be an IPA fermented like a lager.

Big beer is selling off their UK Craft Beer breweries?

I have just seen they have returned to 6.5% on it so maybe they have gone back to the old formula.

The next Malt buy by the South Cheshire Co-operative

Picked mine up this morning was nice to meet you Ken! Thanks again for organising all of this. Anyone wondering each 25kg bag fits perfectly into a 60l drum with room to spare at the top!

Name for a New Pilot Nanobrewery?

I think the gap from what you’re using and commercial brewing is a few years off to be honest. You would need to have your recipes dialled in and be able to reproduce it exactly the same time after time. I would improve your home brewing setup and work on getting your recipes and reproducibility...

    Batch making DME starter

Yeah that’s what give me the idea but I would probably make it normal strength, add two cans to the beaker and stir. Saves messing with boiling and cooling water to add to it.

    Batch making DME starter

I’m getting a can seamer this year and I was wondering if anyone has tried making a bulk amount of DME solution at the correct strength for starters, boiling it up and then canning/bottling it when cooled so you have instant starter liquid when needed. Do you think it would be best to oxygenate...

    How Much Grain?!?!

Buy what you can afford. Whatever you buy will end up being not enough in the future so you will end up buying twice. The ability to brew 23 litre batches means 40 pints a go which seems to be a good point. I started with a pan and a BIAB on the kitchen stove making 8 pint batches and there was...
