UK NEIPA + nice detailed recipes! - Pellicle Mag

That wouldn't work for this style. You want the hop aroma and that would be driven off by the mash and then the boil so there would be nothing left.

    Maturing beer.

Just to add a question on this. I am thinking of really upping my beer production but I don't want to purchase 300 corny kegs just for long term storage. Is there any real difference between maturing in bulk (keg) or in cans/bottles. I'm looking at making some pilsners and cold conditioning...

    Misleading Asda Water!

I was looking at a system like this and having two tanks. One for the RO water and one for the bypass water. I can then use the RO water for brewing and run the bypass water through my counter flow chiller and then into the tank that held the RO water. This can then be used for cleaning so...

Chopps Scales Up... Four Priests Brewery

Reading back through this shows just how far you have come! I think just watching a 10-20 minute video once a week you forget all of the effort that has gone into getting you to where you are!

    Dimplex 1FT tube heater

I just used a cheap one from screw fix can’t remember the brand. Had one fail on me and the second one has lasted for ages. It’s quite a humid environment so I can’t imagine they will last that long and the heater is off and on constantly when I’m use so it’s not ideal operating conditions I...

Can anyone recommend me a stout/porter recipe

Thanks for all the advice and recipes. I should have more than enough to do a brew or 5 😂

    Raffle - Change of plan!

How about a set value voucher to spend on ingredients in your store. That way people could mix and match all they want for a set total cost. Means you’re not out of pocket and people don’t need to order 125kgs of malt at once.

    What did you brew today?

Trying to get my consistency dialed in so brewed my NEIPA recipe. Weighed out and crushed the malt fresh as I will do for the repeat brew in 2 weeks. Weighed out all of my hop additions and sealed them up so next time they should be exactly the same. The top pack is the whirlpool addition...

Serving corny keg in commercial system

My neighbour has a sankey setup but he has push fit adapters on the connector. The push fittings are the same size as the standard John guest adapters for corny push fittings. I just take them off his coupler and plug them into mine. How are his lines fitted to the connector? I have these...

    Bottle washing hacks

I used to remove the swing tops anyway and leave them in a tub of starsan so they should be fine with the metal clips removed.

Can anyone recommend me a stout/porter recipe

Hey, I have a friend who is a big stout/porter fan and he has built a bar in his garden. I’m looking and brewing him a beer for when it’s finished and he is after a stout or porter. I am really not a fan of either style and stick to IPAs so I don’t know where to go. Does anyone have a favourite...

    Bottle washing hacks

It’s from Europe so you have to add VAT onto the price so it’s a bit more than that. I just use a bottle gun and it works perfectly. Because cans are so light and there’s not a lot of material they cool down quickly when filling. Purge each can for 5-6 seconds then set your beer around 0°C and...

    Bottle washing hacks

I went for this in the end. Didn’t require any adjustments and worked out the box. https://www.thehomebrewery.co.uk/brewly-acs-1-automatic-can-sealer?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpJGg2rjo9gIVRuztCh1BHAtxEAQYASABEgLkCvD_BwE

    Bottle washing hacks

I hated it so much I just can now. Cans are about £0.20 each (440ml) and I dunk them in starsan, empty, fill and seal. They come in boxes of 24 and can be stacked so don’t take up as much room. They stay fresh for longer and most importantly…. they look cool 😂

    CO2 supplies

And he said two of them so 12 times more. That’s what took me by surprise it’s usually start with 23. Otherwise how will you drink it all? 😂
