    Yup. Me too.

    Wasps

They do, my dog‘s kennel has loads of little scratches on the outside where they scrape off the wood.

    SMASH

I’ve done Maris Otter and Columbus several times. I like it.

adding sugar to wine kits to increase ABV %

Agreed. Just yesterday I bottled a Beaverdale red, which I‘d made a couple of litres short. Couldn’t tell you the FG as I broke my hydrometer. But it tastes a lot better with more body than a similar kit which I’ve made to the full volume in the past.

    County lines drug dealing

It’s somewhat ironic that Tory governments want to look tough on crime when they’re directly responsible for the loss of 21000 police officers and the closure of almost 300 magistrates courts.

    County lines drug dealing

Agreed. It’s been legal in Canada for almost three years. According to my source in Quebec, vendors have to be licensed and there are various rules about how the stuff is stored, packaged and marketed. It’s available in various formats, ready rolled joints, gummy sweets and even cannabis pop...

Behind The Curve (Documentary on Flat Earthers)

    *explanation* Typo.

Behind The Curve (Documentary on Flat Earthers)

Nope. Occam’s razor states that if you’re looking for an exclamation for something, then the most obvious is probably the correct one.

Behind The Curve (Documentary on Flat Earthers)

N Your right, we don’t have to prove that gods exist, neither do we have to prove that they don’t. The onus of proof lies with the one who makes the claim. If I asserted that the earth and everything about it was created by Clangers who lived on the moon, it’s a preposterous claim, but still...

What do people use to help clear their beer?

Irish moss. Always used it, never had a problem so I see no need to change.

Behind The Curve (Documentary on Flat Earthers)

I think you’re right. Flat earthers, holocaust deniers, young earth creationists, anti vaccers, they’re all bathsh!t crazy as far as I’m concerned but a lot of them are very intelligent people.

Did he want to stay overnight at the vets too?

    Ball bags

As others have said, the worse bit is the anaesthetic needle (dare I say little prick?) For a few days after, they felt very heavy and the surgeon recommended wearing a pair of Mrs T’s For support. That lasted about thirty seconds, way too uncomfortable. I’m so glad I’m not kinky.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Due to medical reasons, I’ve had to give up beer for the forseeable future. So I’ve found this, Nirvana Brewery in London specialises in no/low alcohol beer. This is their hoppy pale ale, very tasty and refreshing and beats the sh!t out of water. I’m going to follow it up with the ‘Dark and Rich...

    Overrated beers

A lot being said about BrewDog. I think that so many of their beers are all now quite similar, whereas a few years ago they were brewimg stuff that was different and interesting. That said, I don’t think that punk is that bad, and for the sake of convenience I always chuck a case of that in when...

    Overrated beers

I like chilli, it goes well with all sorts of things. But it shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a brewery.

    Awful American units!

Those of a certain age will remember £sd (no, not hippy smarties) and that really was confusing.

    Awful American units!

I’m with you on the distance thing although I’m happy with kilometres. I think the problem stems from the fact that the UK introduced metrication in a piecemeal fashion rather than just doing the whole thing at once. And now we’re in the ridiculous situation where commercial vehicles operate in...

    Awful American units!

Ha! You guys think you’ve got problems. I used to live in Canada which has been a metric country for decades, but some people still use imperial measures for volume and others use American. So if you hear someone talking about pints and gallons you need to make sure which pint or gallon...
