    I tried the malt there and I'm not really very sure to he honest as I've never tasted any before. It's not a sweet taste but not sour. I'd say it's atleast part of the flavour I'm getting in the beers though so that's a big boost knowing that! As for cooling I don't have fancy cooling tubes...

    The sourness is sort of like sour yogurt I guess. It's kind of hard to describe. It's definitely not sharp like vineger. I will need to investigate ph for sure!

    Thanks for your speedy reply. I've used 2 different types of grain although the only 1 I have used on it's own is the marris otter. Even when using the lager malt I used a bit of marris otter so thay could be the issue! I will scrap it and see how I get on
