    From brew-day to bottling, what's your average elapsed number of days?

    My LME ales using CJJ Berry and Dave Lines recipes are taking about 10-14 days at 20 degrees but turn out very drinkable. I use and insulated jacket from a fast fermenter with 2 litre lemonade bottles with frozen salt water to maintain the temperature, changing the the bottles once a day.

    Am I the only one not using corny kegs, I am still on the 5L mine kegs with a German hand pump, the TEA I am drinking now tastes peachy well not quite but you will get the gist.

    Crush the dried elderberry s, I made a gallon last year and had the last glass yesterday, I will be making a gallon this week. I use CJJ Berry's wine making books, the recipe looks much the same. cheers Peter

    I use 5L mini kegs with a German made hand pump, which works fine, I usually do 3 gallon batched of various LME, hops and a good quality yeast. This produces very drinkable ales, without the hassle.
