    Watch T.V legally without a T.V Licence.

I must confess, I think the days of "T.V." are numbered here as well. I probably watch on average 4 hours a week of "live" T.V. and if it weren't for their monopoly on sports cable would be dead as well. I don't know how the producers of News and T.V. shows are going to cope with the new world...

    Watch T.V legally without a T.V Licence.

Oh well, install the necessary software on a computer, tablet, etc. and get a bloody big monitor! [I can't help it, I'm still getting Young Ones flashbacks.]

    Watch T.V legally without a T.V Licence.

You still have licences there? Most of us here watch most T.V. illegally using a Raspberry Pi, hacked AppleTV or similar running Kodi. And we have never had licences! It's just the Free To Air and Cable have gone crazy with ads.

    Conical Flasks

If you are going to step up to commercial lager levels you might need a 3l flask. So maybe a 1 and a 3, or a 2 for regular brews (and separate a sample for later propagation.) If you are planning to actually isolate and propagate your own yeast you'll want 1,2 and 3l flasks, loops or probes...

    It's a hung parliament.

I'm a die-hard RC (Retired Catholic,) but ELO is just going too far!

    It's a hung parliament.

A hung parliament - that's how I'd like to see ours. (Why isn't there an Anarchy emoji?)

    Flaked oats?

I think they are flaked oats - we usually use "Quick Oats" as they are cheap and have all we need, I think what you have been supplied is flaked oats that have not been dehusked. Those of us that love really old recipes would probably appreciate it, as recipes with a lot of torrified wheat or...

    What's an appropriate punishment?

Which Trump studiously ignored, making his usual ultra-right tweets instead. Trump has made it clear he does not like blacks, muslims, etc. - or anyone who defends them. When a comment was finally released it was patently obvious it was not authored by Trump (it was spelled correctly, for a start.)

I Demand More Posts from TheQuokka

I might have had a few, but I believe beer is for drinking and enjoying. My posts were deleted because I don't like bigots and I don't think the name of a beer is important as it's taste. I will continue to brew beer the way I like to drink it and according to my budget. The way of the modern...

    What's an appropriate punishment?

He's a white non-muslim American, none of this will happen. They will probably give him a job in Trump's office instead.

Should Political Parties Be Held Responsible If They Do Not Fulfill Their Manifesto

Don't be stupid. Read 1984 by Orson Welles. Nothing changes. The Government exists to keep the rich and powerful getting richer and more powerful. The rest is smoke and mirrors. Get a Mohawk, organise a revolution and string the *******s up.

a great use for sodium percarbonate

Crikey! You POMEs really will complain about anything! My ex not only kept cutting her hair short, but she naturally had those fantastic eyebrows of a Malay the rest of the world tries to emulate, but shaved them off and got tattoos! Back on topic - sodium perc is great for a lot of chores...

    Reusing yeast

It's always difficult to predict. You are almost certain to harvest more than you really need, but hopefully less than too much. I use vegemite jars, or a drinking glass if I am going to use it the same day. Sterilise the glass or jar in your pressure cooker or by boiling gently for...

Brew fridge not cooling below 7 degrees.

Yeah, go the gumtree route - by the time you buy the dye, etc. to track down the leak (and it might just be seals,) you are probably better off to donate it to a charity and buy another.

Campden tablets... did I go over the top?

I'd age it and give it a go. If you can pick up a second hand barrel that would be best, but you would be surprised what a bit of time can do to most beers. Sulphite is actually a natural byproduct of all yeast to some extent, and ironically can add a sweet flavour if oxidised. One of the...

Clueless human - can you sweeten a dry red wine?

If you were extremely careful with sanitisation and avoiding oxygen, I suspect you could sweeten it with a sterile lactose solution - but dry wine is a style, usually improved by age, especially in oak.

    Lager off taste.

Isn't India Pale Lager kind of an oxymoron? As someone has pointed out, your hop aroma should last just fine at lagering temperatures - but the whole reason IPAs were heavily hopped (and high in alcohol) was because they had to travel a long distance on a ship without refrigeration. It was just...

    Wheat in beer

I'm sure my mind is a much stranger place to exist, so I wouldn't worry about it. I don't know if I would call it "body" but there is certainly a cloying taste to malted wheat. Torrified (or terrified we prefer to call it down here) wheat does not have it so much as the proteins have been...

Hmmm, CoCoPops - haven't tried that. Might have to on Gunge's recommendation...

    Wheat in beer

The cloudiness associated with certain wheat beers is actually a product of the yeast (and sometimes mash schedule or other innoculations used to produce particular flavours) - that's why I mentioned Corona, which contains a far higher percentage of wheat than most European wheat beers.
