What are you drinking tonight 2024.

If I drink homebrew from an Impossibrew glass will it make it non-alcoholic?

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Snakes alive, it’s a scorcher. Some of my unnamed user upper pesudo-lager with hopped with Tettnanger is helping me keep cool.

What are you listening to tonight.

The surviving band members are playing Belfast next month. I’m at the High Fade gig the night before so unlikely to be going.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Well, I’m a big fan of alcohol and not a fan of religion, so I reckon we’re on the same page😀 I’ll continue to indulge my interest in North African and Persian culture through food and literature but not in person.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Simply, at the end of the day the elite can ditch their dearly held religious beliefs if there’s money in it for them or their regimens. I avoid these sort of places for exactly that reason which is a shame. There’s a lot of North Africa and the Middle East that otherwise I would really like to see.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Dessert time. Mrs70 made some lemon and lime tartlets this afternoon, I made some Chantilly cream this evening. They are the perfect backdrop to let the Californian Black Muscat explode on the palate. It’s a belter of a sticky, highly recommended!!!

What have you been smoking on bbq?

My birthday present from Mrs70. An 10oz wagu sirloin, cooked over wood on the kamado. I knocked up a Bearnaise while it was resting. Corn cooked on the kamado and chips fro the freezer. I’m washing it down with a Dog Point 2019 Pinot Noir. Yum yum pigs bum.

Second cocktail, a Corpse Reviver No.2 (Google it). I’m on my own with this one!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Happy Friday one and all. Tonight’s opening cocktail is an old favourite, French ‘75. Mrs70 is joining me.

I thought that would get your tweeters twitching😂

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Birthday treat. This is absolutely delicious. I’m finding that I’m coming round to pricey wines.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Celebrating my birthday with the first pour of a pseudo lager brewed last month. I was a bit heavy handed with the Tettnanger, but that’s not a bad thing!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Last nights bevvie included the 1982 Sierra Nevada clone kindly sent by @phildo79. First off, apologies, Mrs70 has clearly put my Guinness glass through the dishwasher and the head retention has suffered. Lovely clear beer, bready malts and gentle noble like hop aromas. The flavour is...

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Evening all. I’m checking out the Guinness in The Conrad in Dublin. It’s rather good.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Evening all. Enjoying a little time up the north coast. Opening affairs with an IPA from Kinnegar.

    Collaborative Brew Schedule - 2024

I don’t have a BIPA, but I do have a BDG for October. I’ve been working very hard at leaving it alone so it’s an unknown quantity too.

    Collaborative Brew Schedule - 2024

Are there any takers for the Black IPA brew? Post below and I’ll work out the swaps.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

I used to drink 2 or 3 £10 bottles of a wine a week. I’ve realised why I stopped drinking wine when after I picked up a couple of pricier bottles (voucher from a very happy patient went on 4 bottles instead of a case). Now I’m thinking one or two like this a month is a very acceptable outlay...

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

It’s been an eventful day, culminating in my election as chair of the board of a professional body I’m part of. Whilst it’s a massive honour it’s going to bring a lot of extra work I‘m going to struggle to make time for. Seems like a good time to open this 2018 California Zinfandel. It’s a...

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Too right mate! At least Homer Simpson was right, alcohol provides the temporary solution to all life’s curveballs. To be honest, I’m more worried for Australia than I am for him. I really like this one. Distinctly Powers but dangerously smooth. I’ve found them to be pretty consistent and well...
