yes i used the plastic pet bottles and none of them are firm... i used the coopers sugar drops 1 per bottle as directed in instructions... they spent 2 weeks under the stairs after bottling now in the shed. i just bottled my 2nd batch into glass bottles exactly the same way with one coopers drop...

have i stanked my first batch????

i opened one of my coopers largers approx 2 weeks after bottling and there was no carbination is that normal. i added 1 sugar drop as instructed per 500ml pet bottle.

Update Bottled the lager tonight, got 32 500ml bottles filled.... Stuck them in the cupboard under the stairs. Just a waiting game now, gonna wait 2 weeks and then store them in the shed outside for 4 weeks. Started another kit straight away, it is a Tom Caxton dark ale. Pitched the yeast at...

Ok goin to be bottling my Coopers lager tomorrow and I bought Tom Claxton Ale to start new brew. Just need some advice.... I bought some S-04 yeast, to use instead of the kit yeast or can I use both? Also there is a hop enhancer? When do I add this? So my plan is; Munton beer enhancer 1kg...

Beer update Took another reading hydrometer reads 1015 and the beer is cloudy that's that's at day 11. Is this ok?

Update.... One week on and hydrometer is reading 1020 from 1042.... Is this ok? Also the beer had a sweet sour smell to it????

Ok started my first ever brew on Wednesday.... Pitched the yeast at 21c and then moved the FV to another room that is 18c it took 36hours for foam to appear in the FV.... Also there seems like the coopers enhancer is lying in the bottom?????? Is this right or is this normal?????

Well just finished starting my coopers lager kit, bit nerve wrecking!! LoL I soooooo think I've fecked it up!!! I sterilised everything!!!! Then added 2 litres of boiling water then mixed the coopers brew enhancer 1. Then added the extract mixed it all up nicely. All good up to now!!! But...
