    Bleaching mouldy bottles

Hi all Been a while (moved house as the country locked down, not good for the blood pressure) but slowly getting back into brewing. Got a problem with my bottles, they've gone a bit mouldy in storage (can't seem to post pictures from my phone for some reason). Got some brew safe sanitizer...

Things to do whilst self - isolating

Still at work but been on annual leave after moving house (by the skin of our teeth, just before lock down) so spent most of my time building flat pack furniture and breaking down boxes. Next is clearing and cleaning the workshop in the garden ready to set up my brew gear

    Bottle washing

FWIW I rinse my bottles after pouting them out with lots of hot water and let them air dry upside down then store them. Then come bottling day I make up a big (10L I think) mix of no-rinse sanitizer and follow the instructions for soaking then just soak and bottle in batches of 10. Never had an...

    B&M Swing top bottles cheap

Bloody hell, I've got 2 lots for the price of one! Can't complain at that. @Chippy_Tea @the_quick what is 'The Range' selection of homebrew stuff like? I've not got one near me but my folks have in Sussex. I only go to the B&M near me at work when I'm bored! Not one where I live

    B&M Swing top bottles cheap

Maybe they've sold the old stock off to B&M. I follow a YouTuber who gets a lot of 'end of line' stuff from them

    B&M Swing top bottles cheap

Are B&M part of the same group then? Never realised. Thought it was a blinding price hence why I grabbed them. Considering wilko charge near the same for just six I couldn't say no

    Wilko stout looks like Bisto

When I pitched it I kicked off relatively quickly (I nearly had a blow out due to a dodgy airlock). Had a decent krausen form too. Would it be worth pitching more yeast or shod I give it time to settle and try cold crashing / conditioning?

Extra dark dried malt extract, spot on Muntons beer kit enhancer (I must read up on the abbreviations!!) Could it be the temp I took the OG at? Being the numpty that I am when I added the 'cold' water to make the brew up to 20L (after adding the can and fermentables) I realised near the 18L...

    Wilko stout looks like Bisto

Hi all 2 weeks into my brew I've taken a gravity sample which was around the 1.022 / 24 mark from 1.072 / 76ish mark. Need to take another sample to see if it's holding steady. Having never done a stout before I was a bit concerned with how it's looking after 2 weeks. Very cloudy and gravy...
