Just be careful when lifting it up and down as it can over flow also and spill your grain down into the kettle

Well i just brewed and fermenteda wilko ale kit i had. A one can kit and disnt notice when i legged it but went to pour a pint and its like pure tcp. Im guessing its ruined and aint going to improve ?? Just dont want to waste anymore co2 carbing this up to jist pour it down drain. Any advice...

My stc 1000 controller just arrived and on first check i noticed the input voltage says 110 -220 V !? Have i bought the wrong one ? Uk voltage it 240 really dont fancy melting this thing but it came from a uk supplier on amazon ? ‍♂️

I think my off flavour is just yeast ? I dont know if i packaged too soon (2 weeks) or if yeast was stressed but all my neers have had this yeasty (non clean) taste and smell. Im gettin a keg system and hoping by not having to prime i can possibly filter this out. Last batch wasnt nearly as bad...

Hello. Getting myself a corny keg and trying to suss what else im ordering. The quick disconnects say 5/16th barb on. Will 3/8 hose fit on this ? Asking as another set i saw had 1/4 barb. Not much diff i know but thought i would ask before ordering. Any reply wld be great ta. Also is it eSy...

The first couple brews i disnt even have a hop bag i just tipped them into the fermentor a few days into fermentation

I dry hopped in the final stages before Bottling. Meaning the hop bag wasnt removed for any time before bottling to be honest. I didnt think wld matter. Im really new to this though and really am just learning on the go here

Yeah mby. I dunno. I jst recognised that smell when i opened it. It disipates and is nice but found it odd that smell reminded me of my not so great brews so far haha

Weird. Got a pack of lagunitus ipa from asda and has albeit only slightly , a very similar smell/taste to my brew. Not as bad but it’s definitely there. Wtf am i smelling/tasting here. Baffled

Yes i believe so. I pulled them from the scottish water report. I had to find the calcium and alkalinity in a diff datasheet on scottish water website as those values werent in the full report

The report had min mean and max values i put in the mean values

Sorry but just wondered if you could have a look at this and comment wether this is a worth while adjustment. The values mean nothing to me as i have no point of reference. Just wonder if this would have a bic impact on beer. The one in pic was adjustments to brew an ipa
