    A mate and I have invested in a Grainfather and two GF conical fermeters. We're lucky to have a brewshed (shared with garden machinery and a million spiders). The forum, especially the advice on water treatment, has already helped and our brews are improving.

    Double brew days

    He's a plumber and makes stuff so the system is efficient. We even have a tilting frame for the GF so we squeeze out the max from the boil. In fairness you only need one person during the first 3 hours.

    New Water or Not?

    Our water is from the village pump but it is exceptionally hard with 330ppm CaCO3. No chlorine but we treat with over 1ml/litre of AMS. I dream about living in a soft water area.
