Brewing in the UK in June

Voss is good stuff, I underpitched on Sunday afternoon and on an OG of 1052 we're currently at 1019, should be pretty close to final gravity tomorrow morning. Temp currently sitting at 31.5c. Brew smelled and tasted great from the sample when I checked earlier.

Not getting enough sharpness from keg/brew

It doesn't need to be in a fridge, any cool place will work. Your results might be a little less consistent as the carbing pressure is dependent on temperature. Also you will need a slightly higher pressure about 18psi at 15c. Hope this helps

    What did you brew today?

Did a NEIPA yesterday with no early boil hops just late and hopstand additions of Citra Mosaic and Galaxy. The Kviek Voss is tearing through it at the minute so will Probably dry hop Wednesday night and key next weekend. Looks and smells great this morning.

    Driven to Homebrew

Hi Redwulf if you are worried about it smelling of chlorine you could try either leaving it in the pot overnight or just drop a Camden tablet in. Your local water company should publish some information on chemistry it won’t however give you the full picture.

    Cornelius keg beer storage

I think the first time I used my new boiler I got a metallic taste but have never had it on a keg. I put it down to maybe I needed to passivate or do a better job of cleaning. I've never had it since.

    Chronicle Fermenter

I don't generally bother every exposed surface is rinsed and then sprayed with starsan, if I've got stubborn dirt I'll fill the whole fermenter with hot sodium percarbonate solution to give it a good clean. I've never had any issue with off flavours or infection and stainless steel is less...

    BIAB FV volume issues

Maybe try mashing with an extra litre of water if you always come out a litre under and keep adjusting until you find what quantity of input water gives you the right volume into you fermenter

    Chronicle Fermenter

I've got an SS Brewtech Chronical and dont find them difficult to clean at all, I've just kegged an nice brown ale whipped the lid off drained off the settled yeast and trub through the bottom valve and rinsed it out with hot water before spaying with starsan and sealing it up, the whole...

Supermarket Juice Wine How To guide and Recipes.

I did apple and cranberry cider from Aldi juice, 15litres of apple and 4 litres of cranberry with the juice of 4 limes and 3 strong mashed teabags. It turned out really well. fermented with Ebbergarden Kviek which give a nice dry cider but not too dry to my taste. It was really cloudy so I guess...

    Chronicle Fermenter

I think the Brewtech stuff is great, I ferment in a 14gal generally producing a volume enough to fill two corny kegs. The main advantage I've found is the ability to control temperature and cold crash without needing a fermentation chamber. My latest brew is currently cold crashing before...

What makes a NEIPA, and how is this different to a hazy IPA

I'm just looking to do my first NEIPA and my understanding of the difference is that a traditional IPA would have quite a lot of bittering hops, I'm interested because I seem to be reducing the ammount of bittering hops in a lot of my recent brews. I've also been playing around with Chloride.
