    First brew, 2 wines

sounds like you're on the right track mate, I wouldn't open up a container just to stir up any stuff that's decided to float, but give it a swirl, like you've done You're timing is a bit off, if you're about to receive mini-dexter, should have started a month ago so you'd have it ready for a...

    Brewnight: Blackcurrant TC

Agreed, it's not the strongest of flavours mate. My last 2 X 25L batches were strawberry and lime so a wee change was in order ! This 23L lot was batch primed with 400ml syrup (@ 85g sugar content per 100ml) so about 7.5g per 500ml for a lively fizz Now, what to make next while that's sorting...

On the rocks Raspberry and Lime - 40 pint

I like a fizzy cider too and just bottled a TC last night as it happens, with blackcurrant syrup equivalent to 340g of sugar for 23L of cider (so about 7.5g per 500ml. If I was you I would give it another couple of days until activity has died down a little. I wouldn't be too concerned if it...

    Apple cider kit

Morning chief I have made a few cider kits in the past and whilst they turn out OK, I remember them to be a little watery tasting for my liking You can make a batch of Turbo Cider from cartons if AJ that turns out a great result for the same price (or less) Bog standard cheapo supermarket AJ...

    Anyone seen Roddy

hurrah cheers bud  I would def be an advocate of trying a straight (classic) plain apple TC to start with, then experiment from there... it's always a good benchmark for experimenting afterwards - and tastes good too there'll no doubt be one of my recipes for that posted up here...
