    All in one - vs - 3v?

Absolutely my aim...just a difficult decision

    All in one - vs - 3v?

Oh in fairness I’m pretty much asking you to tell me what I prefer - which is impossible but it’s interesting to see how many people prefer 3v over an all in one. ventilation isn’t a huge issue I mean worst case scenario I can open the garage door but I guess I should factor in extraction of...

    All in one - vs - 3v?

Oh certainly, it’s what I hinted at in my op - largely opinion. I mean forme, I’ll be brewing in my garage, it’s insulated etc and pretty comfy but I don’t really want a gas burner or anything like that. I could probably put a roof extractor in if I needed too but my main concern is getting an...

    All in one - vs - 3v?

Hmmm food for thought then...being as you’ve all suggested 3v/2v being the way to go....certainly putting me off the proposed brewzilla route.... I’d hate to spend the money then regret it down the line.

    All in one - vs - 3v?

Ok, so I’d imagine this largely down to space and opinion but I wondered. if you emptied your current setup - what would you replace it with? All in one - I.e grainfather etc or 3v?

    Brew fridge/conditioning chamber options

Very true. I’ll probably keep the old one for a while, just have to make new shelves. Add another inkbird and Heater to the larder one and I’m done. Loads of flexibility then

    Brew fridge/conditioning chamber options

Come up with a more viable (meaning wife approved) option; turn the current overflow fridge into a ferm fridge - it’s a larder, so taller and wider than my under counter. replace the cheapy undercounter with a new one that will serve as the new overflow fridge. only real issue I have then is...

    Brew fridge/conditioning chamber options

I think having looked at the garage again, I need to find room for another larder fridge....be a garage of fridges! I’ll then use my under counter to condition kegs, and the larder fridge for fermenting.... Buying this used will still of course be cheaper than the fermenter thing I’ve listed...

    Brew fridge/conditioning chamber options

Ahh sorry, the fermenter basic with 1 expansion will fit under a counter which I can’t do with a larder. indeed if I added more expansions it then becomes on par with a larder fridge, but in basic form with one expansion it’s no bigger than an under counter fridge but I more usable internal space

Proposed AG setup - along the right lines?

Yeah it certainly looks to be the right setup for me. My only issue is a conical won’t fit in my brew fridge - certainly tempted by that temperature chamber I linked. More expensive that a fridge but saves me having a larder fridge

    conditioning Temps

Ah ok, didn’t realise I could do that thought once you’ve moved a step that’s it. Will give it a couple of weeks in my office, that normally pretty warm

    conditioning Temps

Ah it’s only a kit, to be honest I didn’t leave it at room temp last time and it was fine, think it’s fairly forgiving in kit form

    conditioning Temps

Thanks that’s really useful. Think my ciders destined to be doomed then, the kit said cold so once it finished fermenting it had sugar and went into the fridge. See how that turns out! It went into a keg a week and a half ago, I’ve no plans to drink it till Christmas. It’s on tap so I’m not...

    Brew fridge/conditioning chamber options

Hi all, so, I got my under counter fridge for £20, turned it into a brew fridge and it does indeed do the trick, however, I’m brewing more, and being as the garage itself isn’t temperature controlled....yet ;) I’m struggling for space to condition brews I can put kegs in the house I suppose...

    Any thoughts?

Proposed AG setup - along the right lines?

That’s a whole heap of work there guys! Wow! but I think the brewzilla is the best option. I do like a project but think I need to know more about what I’m intending for each item to do before I build anything. I’m keen to have a bash with a brewzilla, keep my current fermenters and then see...

    AG Cooler requirements

Think I’ll just carry on with the plastics for the time being then. I can’t fit a conical in my brew fridge. I can fit my plastic. So going conical would mean I’d need a new brew fridge too so all starts to become a little more of a pain

Proposed AG setup - along the right lines?

Haha see I like a project that’s the issue! I like gadgets and I like making things - so pumps and pipes - all fun and games haha have to look for the easy option really but yes, brewzilla seems the way forward. All pumps where they need to be. The rest I’ll stick to gravity I guess (seems a...

Proposed AG setup - along the right lines?

Ah very true. At the moment, I use the fermenter with the tap after first fermentation (for wine) and sit it on the worktop, have bottle or kegs lower and use gravity - just a bit slow is all - have to be patient i guess hmm playing to do down the line I’m sure all will become clear after a...

Proposed AG setup - along the right lines?

Haha no worries, I mean I can pump into the fermenter it seems, then from fermenter to keg I can use the tap on the fermenter but would like to try to keen oxygen to a minimum, so perhaps I could replace the fermenter I have with a tap on the side in place of a valve then I can make a pump line...
