    Dandelion wine

It's quite a complicated way of doing things though isn't it? I think I'd probably just chuck it all in a bucket with some boiling water (raisins included) and ferment it for five days then strain the lot to a demijohn.

Supermarket Juice Wine How To guide and Recipes.

Strong fruit tea works quite well as well. At least I think it does, it seems to add more flavour than just water at any rate. Although the strawberry tea turned my pineapple wine an interesting colour for a while til it cleared.

    Nettle wine advice sought

Not gonna lie I didn't actually like it that much lol The taste is frankly nothing short of unique, nothing like you would expect. To me it didn't taste like nettles smell and it didn't taste like mint. Worth trying, it's cheap as hell to make so not much of a loss if you find it not to your...

Can you make Coltsfoot Tea Wine?

I found a recipe using fresh: https://monicawilde.com/coltsfoot-wine/ So all you need to know is the change in weight from fresh to dried? Assuming the tea is only coltsfoot and not coltsfoot plus tea leaves?

    Pineapple wine advice please

I've made a pineapple wine from tinned pineapples a few times. I fact I have 2 gallons on the go right now lol. This one is 7 x tins 540g pineapple chunks in juice, 250g chopped sultanas, sugar to 2.5kg, no lemon, usual suspects. Pineapple juice was good but because it started in the demijohn...

    Proper roasted potatoes

We made Stoemp a few months ago for Belgian Day it was excellent. It's like mash with a massive upgrade lol We make normal mash with fried onions and horseradish, mash by itself is very boring.

How many units per week. [POLL 2]

We're doing this as well, except we started on the 5th cos that was back to work day. Would quite like a glass of whiskey or wine at this point. (I mean in the evening, I know it's 8am and a BIT early lol) My partners mum got us a velvetiser for christmas, which I've found is an adequate...

    WEIRDEST WINE EVER MADE?

Ah I use the Happy Homestead guys recipe: Yes there does tend to be quite a lot of sediment and horrible floating stuff lol but once it all clears and sorts itself out it's great.

Warning of wine and spirits shortage at Christmas

It would be something of a disappointment if the mandatory gin/rum/tonic/madeira/port supplies from M and S couldn't be replenished this Christmas, along with a few bottles of Sancerre. Obviously I have a meagre few gallons (9.5) and pints (35) of other stuff available but there really is no...
