Another 'whats left in the cupboard' ale.

What about a Brains Welsh Ale Clone ? Using your Fuggles, and your Malt 3.2kg and about 500g of Crystal Malt, add 50-50 ( 65g) of the hops, there you go...lovely Welsh Ale Clone. Not very hoppy but very malty and nutty. I am going to make it on Saturday :thumb:

    Wort Chiller

Hi Clint Don't know if you were asking me, however I used cuts of 10mm clear tubing from my old syphoning tube, which worked well as an inserter and then used 13mm J-clips to tighten, holds well in high temps also :thumb:

I find splitting the overall volume of the liquid into two FV if you want more beer so for example I have 30L in two FV going at the moment which always works for me 15L each tops. I locked mine in on Saturday gone and it's still bubbling now stability temp between 20 21. What has always...

    Wort Chiller

Hi fella I had the same issue so I all i did is put some 10mm tube over the copper coil pipe which acted as and insert so the compression joints fit nice together if that makes sense? The DIY option is definitely the cheapest option as my local brew shop sells them for 68 quid haha and I...

    Holland & Barrett Malt Extract

Can see this being a rather nice dark looking sweet stout especially from the black treacle which I have used before, and a stout it was, very nice settling in at 7.8% rocket fuel you may say

    1 can kits.

Used Wilko Wherry before, quite pleasant for a quick brew, good malty tastes and sweet - not bad for the money ether, all depends what you want from a brew I suppose.
