    Stuck fermentation

My first all grain brew appears to have stalled. I was using the Crisp - English ESB kit from Geterbrewed with 5.39kg of grain And a batch size of 25L. The OG should have been 1052 but I measured 1050. The FG should be 1009, but it appears to be stuck at 1018. I have tried increasing the...

Will a CO2 capsule actually carbonate the beer in a barrel?

My latest batch has been conditioning in a plastic barrel in the shed for the last 2 weeks. I have read lots of posts about the likelihood of the CO2 escaping from these barrels. Sure enough, I tried the beer last night and, although it tastes great, it is flat. Is there any benefit of inserting...

    Wilkos winter ale stuck?

If you have to give it a good stir to try to get it going again, should you stir up the trub or not?

    Cleaning out trub

But this is just for cleaning and not sanitising, right?

    Cleaning out trub

Not heard of this before. It is described as a stain remover! what makes this stuff right for homebrew cleaning?
