    Reusing yeast???

Have started doing this myself. Works great, saves money, and now have a few strains on hand at all times.

    priming with sugar

I think the boiling is as much about getting the sugar into solution so it fully mixes with the beer as it is about sterilization.

Yeast starter - DME with hops

AH. In that case, I would get some very light DME. If it was just the one batch, no biggie, but if you are planning to harvest from starters, best to start off on the right foot.

    Wrong Yeast!

I'm pretty sure you are going to be happy with the liquid yeast, and that it is going to get the job done. Give it 48-72 hrs before considering adding anymore yeast.

Yeast starter - DME with hops

Cold crashing and decanting won't make a difference - there isn't really much that will settle out from the starter. Given your batch size, I wonder if you need a starter at all. What type of yeast are you using?

    Wrong Yeast!

As britton says, go ahead and pitch it. That's fresh enough that it should be at least 75 Billion cells.

Yeast starter - DME with hops

As with so much in homebrewing, the answer is - it depends. In this case, the flavour and colour impact to your beer will depend on the batch size. A one litre, hopped, dark starter will have much more influence on the final product in a 10L batch than a 20l batch. I assume you haven't made...

    Extract or straight to AG?

Just curious, what equipment aren't you using anymore? I never did kits, but otherwise took a similar path as yourself (although Robobrew instead of Grainfather), and there isn't much gear that I don't still use.

    Extract or straight to AG?

Hi Adgeo, There really isn't a right or wrong answer, but I'm sure plenty of folks will chip in with advice from their experiences. I am pretty new to homebrewing myself, started about 5 months ago with a Northern Brewer kit for extract. After 4 or 5 20L batches, I bought a Robobrew and moved...

First time brewer with questions about bottling

I have used gelatin a couple of times now, and it works very well for producing crystal clear beer. Simple to use, as well. I also bottle condition, and my most recent batches carbed in the same amount of time and to the same degree as when I didn't use gelatin. Also, FWIW, I also now bottle...

    What are you drinking tonight.

    Omnipollo Zodiak. Very, very good.

    Flavour got worse after conditioning

I think the responses you've had are bang on, but wondering if there are windows in your garage? Could be sunlight hitting the bottles, and your beer is getting a bit skunky.
