What are you drinking tonight 2020.

Just a couple of drams of this tonight.

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

Sounds nice. I'm heading to Lidl tomorrow so I'll see if they have it.

Pricing and stock levels in a covid world

Diluted thin bleach for me most of the time as it's easy to get hold of and does the job. It is worth a look of you are struggling. About 40p or so for a 2L bottle, although when all this stuff kicked off the supermarket shelves were a tad bare for a bit!

How good is a Woodforde Wherry?

It's an interesting read this. Back when I started brewing about 15 years ago, Wherry was always highly recommend I brewed it once back then and wasn't a fan to be honest - it just wasn't my thing and I was more of a lager man. Saying that now, I shifted off lager to IPAs and other ales so...

Young’s IPA kit , fermenting like crazy

Just leave it until it settles down, then give the airlock a clean out and pop it back in. I've left airlocks full of stuff when the brew bubbles over and it's always turned out ok but it's a pain to get the thing clean after.

    Keg pressure

I used to put a spot of vaseline between the valve and rubber band to help with this. Give it a try and you might find it works too.

    Scam phone calls

You are missing out. You should have some fun instead. I always play along with them for a laugh. The last one I had a span them a yarn that we shared the broadband with 20 other houses and would need to get the person who payed the bill and left then hanging for a while. They were still there...

Is this the Most Meaningless/Waste of time thread that has ever been posted?

I see . It sounds like a dangerous path, but one that must be trodden one day😁 I'll have a look for recipies and perhaps knock a small batch next time I get a lager brew on and make it short and use the rest in a demijohn.

    Dripping Tap

I'd leave it then. As long as there is pressure is in the barrel then there is no way for air to get in and spoil it so it will be fine. Just keep and eye out in case the leak gets worse when you start to use the tap pouring pints. You'll just have to drink it up and get another on the go 😁

Graf, a beer cider hybrid. Isn't that just a snake bite or is there more to Graf? I'm guessing Google knows about it though, as the auto correct is putting a capital G at the start of the word when I type it🙂

    What did you brew today?

That is virtually the same ingredients as what I have bottled today after about 2 weeks fermenting, although I used a whole bottle of lowicz but I forgot to add the tea. Doh!

    Dripping Tap

I had a problem with my Rotokeg tap last time I used it too. I just bottle everything now to save the potential hassle. The problem is that unless you can take it apart you don't know what the problem is. It may be that the plastic has a split or crack in it and under pressure it is seeping...

    mixed feelings about bottling

I also suggest breaking down bottling day so it's not so much of a chore. Just tonight I have filled 35 bottles of Pink Grapefruit IPA and 8 of a raspberry turbo cider. I have had my bottles sanitising for a day or two in a big plastic container so all I needed to do earlier was rinse them...

Not new to home brewing but still class myself a novice...

What Terrym said for points 1and 2🙂 I haven't dabbled too much in adding hops, except the odd dry hop here and there so can't really say.

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

Amazon Prime day and I treated myself to a fed whiskies which arrived earlier. It would have been rude not to try them.

    The range kits

Thanks. I will take a look.

    The range kits

I have a decent size Range not too far from me but I have never been able to see kits in there in the past when I have been tagging along with the wife and kids. To be fair, I haven't been for the best part of 12 months now though so perhaps things have changed. I'll have another look next time...

Which COMPANIES have the most useless slogans?

Or they state something like 90% agree that blah blah blah. Then when you look at how many they surveyed in the text on an advert, it's some ridiculous figure like 57 people.

    Sediment on the move.

Leaving your bottles for longer definitely helps which is why I try and do. I am currently drinking a Cooper's Wheat Beer and an IPA, both from kits, which have been in the bottles for a few months which I can pour nearly all of the bottle without disturbing things. I tend to find it also...
