I ended up trying a different valve (brass) instead of chrome with collar, which I struggled with. I lubed rings and used ptft tape on threads. Seems OK now. Tried several things you mentioned in your tips but failed for me, not knocking your tips BTW. Still hope to sort it out, rubber rings...

Great tips HB, Well explained. It's very frustrating when your trying to get your brand new batch sorted and you can't get a good pressure.

Hi folks, I just tried injecting co2 in to my pressure barrel, trouble is it's slowly coming back out at top, not sure why. It's fairly new valve too. Any suggestions please?

Been using pint365 from plastic pressure barrel serving ipa's, co2 top injector. Apparently demand valve is not needed with a pint365.

I started getting this same issue tonight, did original poster sort the problem out?

Hi, I’m on the look out for 10 or 12 litre Corny kegs, also on the look out for connectors, pipes, co2 regulator to fit a beer engine. Bit of a long shot, but I though I'd try. Or places of recommendation to buy from. Cheers

I used ptft tape on king keg, still lost pressure, transferred to reliable keg, Tastes OK but a bit thin.

A corni would not fit in my under counter fridge, that's the trouble.

Wish I seen this thread before I keged my beer in to my top tap kk, I recenty replaced tap and O ring (round type). I used Ptfe tape around cap too. Filled with beer , Co2'd it 2 days later pressure is gone, I have had nothing but issues with my KK Top tap. Could I transfer to another keg...

Hi. Can anyone recommend a good reliable yeast and quantity needed for 23ltr pale ales please?

Didn't drop below 1.010. Was it not enough yeast to finish the job maybe?

I did add more dextrose yesterday anyway, lively today. So I should try for more like 1.050 as a starting abv? I'm not great at working out what's needed to pump up the sugar content. Can't trust what box says anyway.

I recently done a MJ ipa with an extra MJ malt extract booster, used yeast it came with. Og 1.040 yesterday's was 1.012 so roughly 3.6 abv, was hoping for higher, could I kick-start it with dextrose to raise abv? It air lock bubbled for a few days before coming to a stand still.

Yes sugar was added but air bubbles are hardly at all
