    Beer Glasses ?

I imaging so, I've bought some great glasses from them, I once bought 6 hand blown czech wine glasses for£4 and some nice goblet beer glasses. I was awarded my Erdinger glass from a bar in Bern Kastle, Germany for being their best customer during a weekend at a Christmas market a few years ago.

    9 gallon plastic casks

There's a guy near me, Gillingham in Kent, that has a fair few 9 gallon plastic casks for sale. They are all perfectly legal, his son owns them, he has had to shut down his brewery. He wants £10 each for then. They are strictly collection only

    Curious beer clone

I was searching for the recipe online yesterday and found an article by "the grocer" I have emailed them and they've said they will continue making beer for the next 3 months but are not sure what will happen after that. They haven't sent me a recipe but said ask again after the 3 months. I had...

    Curious beer clone

Chapel Down are being taken over and the curious beer brand will cease. I don't particularly like their original beer, curious brew, but there curious porter is one of the best porters I have ever tasted. Does anyone have a recipe for it ?

What have I done to mess up my Set up? Beer is frothy and noisy

The gas you have is for things like Guinness or John Smiths, ie smooth with lots of tiny bubbles. That type of beer, although it has a creamy head isn't particularly fizzy compared to lager. This is because there's not a lot of co2 in the mix but there is a lot of gas to push it out of the...

What have I done to mess up my Set up? Beer is frothy and noisy

1st. Don't mess with gas valves unless you are sure that you know what you are doing. 2nd. You have the wrong gas, you use 60/40 gas or CO2 on Lagers and Ciders and 30/70 gas on bitters or stouts (smooth products) The pressure is determined by the environment that the kegs are kept in. Usually...

    Regulator adapter

Is it definitely a co2 gas bottle you have and not mixed gas? They have different connections and work at vastly different pressures. You should never try to adapt a co2 setup to mixed gas.

    Cost of Beer Kits

You can't possibly include the cost of your time when you're working out how much it costs to brew beer, or any hobby. You wouldn't do it for golf, or painting or stamp collecting, why brewing. I go metal detecting, if you count labour that must be the most expensive hobby in the world. I know...

    Nelson Brewery Chatham Dockyard

Just seen on Facebook that Nelson Brewery in the dockyard have started supplying grains and hops. Seems to be a limited range of grains but a reasonable range of hops. The prices don't look too bad, especially if buying hops in 500gm lots. Even better, if you've got an ME postcode they deliver...

    Damaged Keg?

I would say that 40 psi for 2 minutes hasn't done anything except seal the lid. Try either treating it the same as you did your lager, leave it for 2 weeks (preferable), or 30psi for 24/48 hours, vent it then re-pressure to serving psi. the beer needs to be cold though. IMO 12psi is high for...

    Verdant IPA yeast

I have done 4 brews so far from 1 pack, 2 bitters and 2 porters. 1st was a London pride clone, almost, I had to substitute one of the hops. Very close to pride originally, but less like it as it conditioned, still very nice though. After that one I just poured the trub into a kilner and put it...

    Hazelwood Brewday

Glass doesn't always work either!! I normally keep back the last litre or so at the bottom of the boiler put it in a killner jar and fridge it so I can boil it for a starter next time. 2 brews ago I had a bit much for the killner so filled a flip top bottle as well, this had a fair bit of break...

    Covid-19 the second wave.

I'm not saying you were deliberately misleading people, but that it is/can be misleading to only print a "headline" without a follow up. Someone could read a headline, a week later they're talking to someone on facebook, then it becomes "I read the vaccine is killing hundreds" 50 people will...

    Covid-19 the second wave.

It's very misleading to say that without the facts. All of the people that have died in Norway after having the vaccine were very frail, some with advanced cancer and some already receiving end of life care. Norway are now looking at who they give it to, the mild side effects that some people...
