    Pressure Barrell

Horses for courses, but I find it much easier to sit the barrel on a flat surface, if it's rounded on the bottom and the little feet are off the ground it's carbing up. I'd check it sooner than a week though, around 3 days in the warm and it should be showing. As Gareth said CO2 cylinders are...

Chill there young cloughie  if it's all gassed up you'll be fine, some people over tighten the cap thinking it will make a better seal only to find a gas leak. Yes your valve will have a prv. Enjoy.

Exactly how I do it pat, I dry hop when ferments finished, cold crash and then syphon into barrel or bottles. The Festival filter bag for the syphon is a real bonus.

What you brewing Sam? Usually around 80g for an ale and 120g or more for lager, your instructions may specify different amounts. Be careful with bulldog kits though my Rajas reward specified 150g!! A little excessive in my opinion.

Forgot to mention the cap, smear of Vaseline on the threads is fine but the actual airtight seal is made by the rubber O ring. My routine is a light smear under the seal so it's free to spin inside it's recess but none on the side in contact with neck of the barrel. Go easy with the cap, tighten...
