    Family car recommendations?

We have 3 kids and a couple of years ago bought a Skoda Kodiaq, brilliant car, 7 seats if needed, huge boot, excellent mpg, very comfortable and you would be able to find a used one within your budget.

    Some football fans are morons.

My job as a train driver led me once to be working the last train out of Warrington on an evening when Widnes had beaten them. To this day it remains the worst train I have ever worked. The "fans" smashed the train to pieces and then a brawl on a massive scale took place on the platform. It took...

Mangrove Jack Craft Series Mixed Berry Cider

A very nice drinkable cider, to be honest you wouldn't know this was home brew unless you were told. Started this on a Monday and it measured in at 1050, left it until Sunday and it was down to 1008, I had already added the sweetener when I first started, I added the whole sachet as I like a...

    Explosive Primary?

I've just finished a Mangrove Jack Single Hop IPA and I had to clean and refill the airlock about 10 times, perfectly normal and your brew will be fine. Cheers 🍻

Recommend me a lager kit and hops to add

Try either the Mangrove Jack Craft Series Helles Lager or Pilsner I've done both recently and they're really good. Currently supping a pilsner as I write this and it's really crisp, well carbonated and tastes as good as any pilsner I've had, mine ended up at 4.6% and I can highly recommend it to...

    Mangrove Jack Craft Series Helles

Another great MJ kit, started at 1044 and got down to 1010 so achieved the advertised 4.4%. Been in the bottle for about 4 weeks now and has cleared nicely and has a lovely flavour and good levels of carbonation. I'm working my way through the MJ craft series and they really are top kits and...

    Mangrove Jack Craft Series Pilsner

That kit is a really nice one, so assuming you followed all the instructions my guess would be it has become infected somewhere along the way. Not teaching you to suck eggs but everything you use or that comes into contact with the beer needs to be super clean and sanitised. What other kit have...

    Mangrove Jack Craft Series Pilsner

Yes indeed it's a really good one. I have my bucket set up in a room where the temperature is a pretty steady 20 degrees and that has always served me well. I put 2 carbonation drops in each 500ml bottle on this particular brew and it's worked perfectly. Cheers 🍻

    Mj juicy ipa

After bottling 2 weeks in a warm cupboard, then out to the garage for another 2 mate. I've still got about 30 bottles left, I had one the other day which has been in the garage for 3 weeks and that tasted really good.

    Mj juicy ipa

I've done the Juicy IPA and it was great. They say however you should add the hop pellets directly into the brew to get the best flavour. It does mention using a muslin bag if you don't want sediment but warns this will reduce the hop flavour. I left mine for 4 weeks and it was well carbonated...

    Mangrove Jack Craft Series Pilsner

What a great kit!!! Started at 1044 and only 8 days later was at 1008, I'd dry hopped it on day 5. Its been in the bottle now for 3 weeks. I thought I would try one this evening to see how it was coming on fully expecting it to need a bit longer. I was very pleased to drink a crisp, clear and...

    Subscription services

I get emails from various people such as Beer52 offering me a free box if I subscribe, I just get the free box then cancel got about 3 of those in recent months. I'm also expecting the free box off brewdog shortly which I will cancel after I've got it. Judging on what you receive I would say...

    Acquired a Pinter

Thanks, I'm fairly sure it'll be fine, I know not to use the Dock also, my plan is to use it as a mini keg. Be interested to see how long it keeps it carbonated for after I first release the pressure to pour a beer. Anyway its got about 5 litres of Mangrove Jack Helles Lager in so I'll report...

    The stash is almost finished

Great stuff!! Mine should all be ready mid May. I took the plunge in January and did 2 months off the beer and bought a spin bike so I'm happy I've shifted my lockdown 2 stone. Had a couple of the Juicy IPA already and they're lovely. Cheers 🍻

    The stash is almost finished

I too am currently stocking up for the summer, got about 200 bottles funnily enough all with Mangrove Jack kits in, got the Juicy IPA, Pilsner, Helles Lager, Single Hop Simcoe IPA and the Golden Ale. Very much looking forward to some sun and back garden drinking.

    Acquired a Pinter

Hello all, I have recently come into possession of a Pinter and whilst I have no interest in using it to brew any of their packs I was wondering if I could add 5 litres out of my bucket add some carb drops and let the beer condition for 3 or 4 weeks inside it, then when it was time I could just...

Juicy Session IPA - Mangrove Jack's review

I'm just enjoying my first bottle of this tonight, it's been in the garage for 5 weeks and it is beautiful. Mine finished at the advertised 4.8%, it's refreshing, fruity and very drinkable. I'm very happy and I'll definitely be doing it again. Cheers 🍻
