I talked about cold crashin with the dude at my local brew store yesterday, he said its fine unless it gets really cold. He did mention to put a bin liner over fermenter when brewing hoppy beers as the light can have a negative affect?

Is there anything worse than attending a music concert and having to drink a pint from a plastic tumbler? Surely this ends the argument? Plastic is evil, especially when its a fiver a pint...

Think i might go with that recipe, you brew short to up the abv a little or/plus to add body to the pint?

Thanks very much for the response, will adjust treacle, dont want too much, just a hint of it. I read folk use like 400g which i thought would be overpowering. Not that im an expert

Im just going to store bottles under the stairs, not overly worried as they are drunk within 6 weeks. I find it difficult to build up a supply lol

Got told on here that green bottles are not as good as brown due to light potentially affecting the beer.

Its a tough life, yeah its a bit crap but after 5 or 6 it becomes less painful
