ok so were drinking this from the PB after 2 days clearing. A little lacking in body but fresh and well decent . Fermented to .998 to. A decent kit but were gonna do a £30 one next time. Was a bargain though at 15 notes.
Am I miss understanding Chippy? Your saying don't add 3.5kg sugar to the grape concentrate?
Surely this cant be right?!?!
Just bought this kit for £15.
I would have thought I'd lose a lot more water than 2 litre?
with grain absorption, trub loss and reboil,etc?
Should me preboil not be around the 30lt mark?
Also does "aroma" on the hop part of the calculator mean "at flame out"?
Cheers.
Haven't bought any ingredients for it yet, just looking for a decent starting point for a citrusy hoppy even grapefruity type IPA. JUst bought a prima dona hop rhyzome from fleabay for poly tunnel. Should be fun to grow and harvest!
Hi all, based on your advice I have tweaked the recipe to this.

:?::laugh8:
IS this the kinda right direction for a nice IPA starting point?:confused.:
@MmmmCitra thanks for the input. You sound like you like the same kinda style. Do you have a goto IPA nice recipe to share. I think I'm along the right lines with these type of hops and would rather go late additions for more flavour/amoras. :)
Welcome Dave, I'm also new, a lot of questions are already answered in detail using the search bar has been invaluable for my many questions anyhow. Good luck in your brewing!
What kit did you start with set up etc?
@the baron recipe made public mate if that's any use"Appreciate the help!
