    Wilkinson Rose (6 bottle)

I make a little wine now and again, always from kits. I'm not usually moved to leave a review, but I'm really pleased how this one turned out. It's cleared nicely, and a pleasing light red colour. I don't bottle anymore, I use 5 litre bags in boxes, I bagged this, this morning and thought I'd...

Poll - What is your expectation of surviving Covid-19 should you get infected

Thanks for the video Drunkula, turns out SWMBO was right (again). Please don't tell her. :laugh8:

Poll - What is your expectation of surviving Covid-19 should you get infected

My wife said that it's been on the news that vitamin D may (or may not) help with immunity. My wife has been on vitamin D medication for about 5 years after being diagnosed with low vitamin D. That's her theory anyway.

Antivirus recommendations (the windows 10 variety, not the other one)

It wasn't £85 where I saw it (£51.99). I'm not sure I trust "free" with online banking. I've had avast on my phone and it caused problems for me, we have 5 devices that need protection.

Anyone got experience of Avira prime? It looks good to me.

Antivirus recommendations (the windows 10 variety, not the other one)

It's antivirus renewal time for me. I've got McAfee atm, but they want to double the price (I've disabled auto renew). So what's everyone using? I'm not sure if I trust windows defender, although it's free, and I've had norton before and found it a bit too invasive although it could be better...

Poll - What is your expectation of surviving Covid-19 should you get infected

I'm pretty sure I'm getting over it now. I'm on the 3rd week, been through all the symptoms, just left with an occasional cough now. SWMBO on the other hand, hasn't shown any symptons at all. After 3 weeks and a week incubation before then, I would have thought she would get it. I can only think...

Kegerator Build time to be brave

I think you can easily push a small screwdriver through the side of the fridge, (they are surprisingly wafer thin). You should feel if you hit a cooling pipe without puncturing it.

    Buying Beer Online

I bought a 20 litre polypin of Imperium (4% bitter) from Wantsum brewery £50 delivered. I like their beers and I don't have anything ready atm. Much cheaper than supermarkets and hopefully helping to keep a local brewer afloat.

    Cloudy Chemsan

I've just made up a couple of litres of chemsan solution. I have some litmus sticks so I tested my tap water, The colours matched at 7ph. I added 0.5ml of AMS per litre, which took it down to around 2ph. Then I added the chemsan at the instructed amount: 0.5ml per litre (5ml per 10litres). I...

What Youtube Vlogs/Channels are you watching?

I also spent yesterday afternoon watching some bloke testing nano tape and duct tape etc. That was mildly interesting.

What Youtube Vlogs/Channels are you watching?

I've been watching this bloke on youtube: ScammerRevolts . He rings up the scammers (mainly from India) and hacks their computers and deletes all their files. They're a bit samey, but strangely satisfying.

    Brown malt a dying grain?

I've got GW's and Greg Hughes, so I guess it's used in one or the other.

    Brown malt a dying grain?

I've got some left over from something, I don't know how old it is or what I used it in.

Seven arrests after 'illegal abattoir' found in Telford

Oh yeah, I didn't read that bit :laugh8:. I would have thought they'd be much more manageable if they were killed 1st. Maybe not stolen then, but got rid of by unscrupulous farmer, who knew they were ill?

How long will my beer keep in a un-refrigerated corny keg?

Substitute "keep in kegs" for "conditioning at room temperature. There you go athumb... Probably be the best beer you've brewed, when it comes to drinking it.
