What are you drinking tonight 2021?

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Last of the Beerworks Golden Rocket in front of the rugby. Shame - it's drinking really well now...

The beer, wine and cider snack thread.

I just did these too. I roasted with garlic powder, smoked paprika, chicken seasoning and dried oregano. Turned out brilliantly! No pics sadly...I skipped lunch so sunk straight in. Will definitely do these again! Thanks for the tip 👍

The beer, wine and cider snack thread.

Bacon wheat crunchies are a recent rediscovery in our house. I'm gonna have to try those wings, too. I usually suffer the 'god I shouldn't have troughed all them' guilt when I do mine. This is like a get out of jail free card! Awesome.

    What did you brew today?

I feel your pain Andy, and had similar technical issues today. First I couldn't get the packaging tape off the Love Brewing box and ended up trying to stretch and snap it, hurting my hand. Then, being a left hander, I couldn't find the comfy pair of scissors to cut open the two bags of...

We should borrow it to sort out this mattress debacle.

    Strange facts.

The term Chinese Whispers was coined because Chinese folks can't whisper in Chinese and be understood. They need to vocalise the intonations in their speech in order for the intended meaning to be communicated (rising, decending, high-flat, low-flat, decending-then-rising). I discovered this...

    Strange facts.

Tea has more caffeine in it than coffee. But pound for pound, it takes more coffee beans to make a coffee, than tea leaves to make a tea. Which is why you get a bigger caffeine kick from coffee than you do from tea, despite it being less potent.

    Pb pressure ,carbonation

PB rules: 1) Open the tap the tiniest amount for the first few pints, and have patience with the pour. Then you'll get a decent balance between head and actual beer. 2) Don't expect a fizzy pint. Ain't gonna happen! 3) Listen to @Hazelwood. I think he's a PB, reincarnated. 4) See rule #3.

Should my stout be bottom fermenting?

Most of the action happens on the surface but it's certainly not unusual to see some activity at the bottom amongst the trub. Don't sweat it - you're all good!

    Cost of Beer Kits

This is a great discussion. I'm 'kit only' at the moment and, if possible, would like to stay that way. Time is my most valuable commodity, so if I can minimise time invested and still get a great result with a kit, that's what I'll do. Having picked up brewing again after a decade's hiatus...

What kit beer are you drinking tonight?

Succumbed to temptation tonight and had a premature taste of the St Peter's Cream Stout, after only a week in the bottle. Damn, if it's this good now, it's gonna be awesome this time next month.
