    Bohemian Pilsner vs Vienna Lager

And on a side note......consider treating your water......I live right in London next to the east London reservoir's- the water comes out of the tap fighting, so I use Tesco value water- but even so, I still give it the crs treatment.....I think it makes a difference. ...I'll shut up now, time...

    Kit to AG time?

Although I'm updating bits n bobs in the system (about 10 years old now) I still enjoy the "heath Robinson" style of things- even though I use a shiny fermenter and brews fridge. Whatever you use, if it works, stick with it....but there's always room to tinker!

    Bohemian Pilsner vs Vienna Lager

Sitting in the brewing shed drinking my first ever AG lager.....its blooming lovely and so so far removed from the swill we have on offer from the big boy brewers.....I used malt miller lager malt and safale lager yeast+ saaz hops all per Greg Hughes recipe. Its got so much more body and taste...

    Stainless Vs Plastic Mash Tun

Been using a converted cooler for years now with no problem....use a stainless fermenter in brew fridge without airlock, just the stainless lid on. Ss fermenter along with temp control has changed my brews beyond belief......the mashtun works well so until it springs a leak or something similar...

    Co2 - Where from?

My co2 has just blooming well leaked everywhere, so I'm probably the last person to give advice, however try an independent pub/bar suppliers- they are usually much more relaxed than the big boys, failing that there are suppliers on eBay, but it costs !

    CO2 leak.......

Just popped down the cave for a night time beer.....realised I had left the co2 tap on but the splitter taps off, so all OK I thought- oh no, its all gone....every single cc of gas.... I'm a lucky fella as I've got an independent pub suppliers close by that charge £20 for a large refill...

    First time for every thing

Is it high hop levels that need to calm down, or a def infection ? i wouldnt chuck it just yet- i had a Greg Hughes US Amarillo beer that took a while to calm down, but turned out fine after about 6 weeks in the keg (just as it was finishing !)

    Do you need to sanitize?

Just one quick twopenneth worth.... Whilst i totally agree and subscribe to what the others have said, its also important to clean the tap innards on the wort boiler BEFORE you put your wort and subsequent hops in it.....i talk from experience and much frustration. What I found was although the...
