    My next brew, any advice?

Thanks beercat. Do you think I need to add a small amount of wheat? I don't usually like wheat in beer but I had a cloudwater at weekend and it was amazing and I believe that has wheat in it

    ace microbrewery £319 ebay

I'm tempted by this too, saving for a grainfather but could get this now. Like the idea of the counter flow chiller and app control with the grainfather though.

    My next brew, any advice?

I've been using 2 to make sure they're ok. Got good results with it and they're cheap. The above 10 min additions get me 21ibu but in reality I'll probably get more from the flameout hops too. It'll be around 25l. I'm trying without bittering hops as an experiment as some beers I've tried...

    Tips

Wash it straight away. Soak anything too dirty in oxy clean( the laundry stain remover stuff). You can get it from wilkco or Lidl. Just try to get unperfumed and rinse well

    Hop Spider or Hop Bags

I've got a hop spider I've been using, it's great got it from bridgewater brewing. There's a discount code on here( can't remember how much it was). Although I brew Biab and I've just bought an extra bag to use instead on my next brew. I'm starting to do a lot more flameout hop additions and I'm...

    All Grain Brewing System reviews.

I don't yet have a grainfather as I'm still saving. But the complete lack of second hand ones for sale must tell a story about how good they are

    Cold crashing and priming

Ah, I thought I needed to input the temp after cold crashing. I take it I just prime as I would usually. Does cold crashing affect hop intensity after dry hopping?

    Cold crashing and priming

I was thinking of cold crashing my latest brew when it finishes fermenting. Never bothered doing this up to now but wanted to see if it makes any difference. I've checked Brewer's Friend priming calculator and it says to use less than 1g of sugar per 500ml bottle. Does this sound right?

    Tomorrow's brew day

I'd ordered crystal from malt miller. I should have checked but really I needed pale crystal. Hopefully be ok. It's made now and in fermenting fridge at 17c with 2 packs of cross my loof American pale ale yeast. Just have to wait and see

    Tomorrow's brew day

I'm going to only put about 200g of the crystal as I mistakenly ordered the wrong malt should have been pale crystal, hopefully this will be ok
