    What are you drinking tonight?

Had an Orval Trappist beer, was ok but I'm not really into these Belgian beers. It was quality but not a fan of the banana esters. I kind of enjoyed it but wouldn't buy it again. Just wanted to try something different from my usual IPA/apa. Also had a couple of brewdog beers

Brew day to drinking in two weeks. How to?

Kits take even longer than all grain to taste passable in my opinion

Brew day to drinking in two weeks. How to?

You'll struggle in one week, I've made pale ales at 5% that tasted good after 2 weeks in the fermentor and 1 week in the bottle. But they were better after a couple of extra weeks in the bottle.

I'm sending my entry out tomorrow mate. My steam lager. You said to let you know how I would prefer it stored as its quite young.(2 weeks old) It's carbed up nicely so cold would be best for me. Looking forward to you're criticism as I've both never entered anything like this or brewed a lager...

    Whirlflock or not?

I would use both they serve different purposes. The whirlfloc helps to drop out proteins during the boil.

Hi, and welcome I'll give you a couple of tips. Use starsan for sanitation it works out cheaper and better in the long run. I've done 50 brews and never had an infection. Pay close attention to temperature control. Especially in the first week of fermenting. Time wise forget what it tells you...
