Excellent, many thanks for the update. Think I'll go for an IPA by the sounds of it, maybe EKG to bitter before going in with the fusion towards the end and a dry hop. Sorry, should have quoted Lesinge there but didn't pull across :laugh8:

Mines still sitting in the freezer too :laugh8: I've only just got back into doing AG beers (for some reason went back last year to kits and just ended up disappointed), but fully intend to knock a Smash (or near as possible) up with these this year as an English IPA

I'm sure there are others better placed than me to answer this, but that temp seems on the cusp of 'spoiling' it for want of a better word. I wouldn't want it higher than 22°c with that, and 26°c may be stressing the yeast to the point of ruining the beer. The solvent taste points to that sadly...

Got a feeling I've messed the batch up. Decided to oxy the bottles prior to bottling and had left a lot of residue. Tried one now (early granted) and had a harsh chemical taste to it. I'll leave them be for a few weeks now, but fear the worst aheadbutt.

Bottled this after two and a half weeks and a cold crash, and it's looking promising! Only additions were 50g of citra lying around and swapping the yeast out for CML Four (which looks like a decent yeast, but that's another thread!), came out a lovely golden straw colour, bitter but the hops...

I'd have been more than happy to sign up for this being relatively local. Except I have no holiday left and pulling a sickie isn't an option. Bugger.

Finally knocked this one up yesterday, with brew enhancer and Tesco's Ashbeck water. Decided to ditch the yeast on the pack and used a pack of CML 'Four' to try. Interested in seeing how this turns out!
