What, that's all that would be needed, anti moisture bathroom paint?. Might well have some I think, if not a shop not 5 minutes walk from here certainly has it.

    Marmalade IPA?

I'm unsure on if all methods of "flavouring" ales should be the same. But to go back to my comment on chilli flavoured ales. Well when we had the Carolina Reaper stout at a beer festival last year I asked the brewer on his process. If I recall correctly, he simply added the ingredients at...

    Kegarator

After a quick examination, thankfully it's not physically a single moulded door which is what I first thought that would render the fridge useless or more work that it's worth. But it's more a single whole panel moulding that's tucked tightly under the seal and glued on to the door insulation...

    Kegarator

Here is a pic, cutting it looks like it would be a very awkward job, very much so indeed. The entire moulding should need to come off but even pulling the door seal back I can't see any signs the moulding was ever screwed on so likely it might clip on I'm thinking. If I could force the entire...

    Kegarator

Now I've a question myself on this subject. As I posted in another thread the under counter fridge is ideal except for being just several cm short width to fit both my corny kegs it. However, that aside and using this more as a test project I'm wandering what's the best way and how do people...

    Marmalade IPA?

Tried a couple of marmalade flavoured ales in the past and always a decent drink. Though also had some decent chilli ales.

Question about using a co2 supply

So as said just tried it, about 3ft 3 1/2 inch (1 mitre) of 3/16 then about 5 inch of 3/8 each end. Certainly works a hell of a lot better. Just need to fine tune the pressure tomorrow, but I'm thinking no more than 12, maybe even 10 would work better.

Question about using a co2 supply

In looking, seems about 3 1/2 foot of 3/16 and several inch of 3/8 either end for connector\reducer purposes should be ok based on about 12PSI serving pressure?.

Question about using a co2 supply

Yeah, it may just be suitable on low carbonated or pressured ales, but any real level of carbonation or pressure is clearly going to cause more foam than anyone can for with. And the lack of clarification staying many will need a line was a frustrating thing to find out. But thankfully I hope...

Beerworks President's Sierra American Pale Ale review

Hmm, sorting through a few things today from the house move I came by a load of ingredients I'd forgot about. Including a few unopened packs of hops, one of which is a 100g pack of Citra!!!. Half tempted to dry hop this further in the week and adding say 25-50g dry in a sack weighed down for a...

    Hop bags - lidl

Going to have to look if my local Aldi has them this week as they sound like they would have been ideal for my latest brew.

    So who's growing chillies 2020?

To be honest I used to seriously worry about cross pollination. But as I concentrate more on super hots, well would there really be any negative if you ended up with a cross between a reaper & naga?. I don't ever look to cross pollinate, but take less anal steps to prevent it than I used to.

    Curry...!!

We grew some in work 2 seasons ago as they have a semi commercial greenhouse for a number of projects. Still got half the crop in the chest freezer as 2 not for most of them lol. Definitely my preferred choice for a good chilli.

Question about using a co2 supply

I'm just awaiting 2m of each length 3/16 & 3/8 and the reducer\connectors etc. Not looking at using 4m of beer line but rather the minimal length I need to reduce the foam but covering my options all the same. In the end I only got rid of the foaming by pretty much reducing the pressure down...

Question about using a co2 supply

So, trying the beer after carbonation etc. Clearly more carbonated but not as much as I'd have expected. But maybe that's down to a little less than 24 hours period and an on off process on the co2?. But what gets me is more foam despite checking the pressure before hand. Maybe that's more...

    Curry...!!

Love a good curry, but a super hot chilli does it for me, Reapers, Naga's, Habaneros, just can't beat that in a chilli. Saying that, got a few kg of frozen chicken in the chest freezer so might make a bulk curry for a change. Just don't ask me not to leave out a little chilli out lol.

UK pub numbers rise for the first time in a decade

Yeah, for the best part but before sky tv got a strangle hold on football & tv sports in general and started charging big pubs a fortune and taking a major chunk of most pubs profits to screen said sport based on estimated feet through the door drinking out was far cheaper and more profitable...

    So who's growing chillies 2020?

There is only 2 places I buy from, though last year I'm sure at least 1 of my plants were wrong. Sadly a house move mid season took my attention off the ball so to speak and so my crop suffered last year. Though chilli focus ready to order to feed the plants. Will be sure things go right this...

    So who's growing chillies 2020?

I also end up with a ridiculous number of plants against available space. I just can't help it, it's like going into a sweet shop with a tenner being told all sweets 10p each and getting greedy lol. But hopefully I'll keep to under 20 plants if buying plugs (including some repeats) and over...

UK pub numbers rise for the first time in a decade

At least here we still seem to have some decent independent pubs, as whilst they have the genetic lagers, Guinness & John Smith's etc, they also have a load of real ales from small\independent breweries.
