    Corny set up advice

Had a feeling you'd be the first to get back to me :laugh8: Cheers for all you help pal. It's been really helpful and put my mind at ease with concerns. Taps fitted to fridge, cornies cleaned and checked for pressure/leaks, just about to cut a shelf for the bottom of fridge and should have...

    Corny set up advice

Setting up the kegerator today and a quick bit of advice if you please. The kit came with a JG fitting to attach to the disconnect, with a stem reducer to take it down to 3/16, as seen below. Should I just use this, or go 3/8 from disconnect then reduce it down to 3/16 as many do?

I noticed on a video from Malt Miller they had secondary regs. I assume this would only really be needed for beers at different serving pressure?

BTK arrived today, kegs look in great condition. Newby question now: The kit is supplied with 2x 3/16 lines and 1 x 3/8 gas line. Can I use some of the gas line (if I have enough length?) for the disconnect and then connecting to the tap, or should I buy specific beer line? Only a couple of...

That would be great when you get a chance. No rush though.

What does 'Hazy' bring to the table

Interesting stuff. Lost me with the chemistry stuff though. Would it be possible to replicate the dry hop schedule of some of the hazy or NEIPA beers and produce a clear beer? I'm sure I have had many clear, or at least clearer, 'new world' hop beers.

Cheers. Aye, I got an email today saying searched, not sure if next day DPD or not so may be tomorrow. I've watched a couple of videos on YT and some have reducers just after keg then again just before tap to go back to 3/8, is this the right way to go?

Mine arriving in next day or 2 hopefully. Everything go to plan other than the reducer? I was just thinking, with the JG gas splitter, if only 1 keg on the go, is it ok just to have the other disconnected and laying in the fridge or would some sort of 'shut off' be needed?

my kids are a little peeved that they can't help with the bottling any more, although I'll save on the spilt beer! They have their own coloured tops that I have to use (equally as well, bloody nightmare if I had an odd number of bottles!)

I'm spending more than ever to be fair. Think it's the boredom. Not having a summer holiday now though so saving there, at least that's the justification I'm telling the missus.

On the kit I got from Brewkegtap it has this :2 x Restriction kit (3/16 beer line) to reduce foaming when pouring beers of higher carbonation. On the picture and description it doesn't look clear if these come with JG reducers - does anyone know if it does or doesn't so I can buy some? I've...

    Kveik American Amber

Can't help much with the recipe, but just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss but also how beautiful what you are going to do is. I still have my dad but never had the relationship with him it appears you clearly did with yours - must have been great to have that. I'm sure whatever comes...

What does 'Hazy' bring to the table

I've noticed a massive increase in the amount of beers being labelled as hazy ipas, and it's got me thinking after reading another thread about NEIPAs what the point is? I've brewed hazy beers but it's more to do with laziness and lack of skill than want. Is hazy a chance for breweries to be...

    NEIPA, is there any point?

Same as @Brew_DD2 . I went chasing those types and struggled to get near them, and thought it was me being crap at brewing. I now just brew really hoppy pale ales and not clear them, and feel more content with my efforts with brewing.

    going to keg

Excellent stuff. Sounds like I should be ok with just the fridge. I ferment I. A freezer with a heater so the fridge would be kegs and bottles only at drinking temp. Cheers for the help.

You get the flow control ones? I hummed and harred for ages whether to get them or not but plumped for standard chrome. Hopefully the size of the lines should help with the foaming and flow. Just need to read up on it a little more.

I know you weren't, just chatting. I'm impatient as well, and don't have work to take my mind off waiting now so even worse.

Sure he and other businesses won't mind the extra purchases, but I'm sure he feels the pressure to distribute as quickly as possible with impatient customers waiting for their goods.

Must be a hard gig at the minute if you're on your own. Fair play to him as he seems to be doing a lot better than some of the other sites selling kegs.
