    hi guys, i have been thinking for a while to keg a few beers instead of bottling. i dont have the space for a whole system but am curious about mini kegs. the home brew shop on line has them for about £8 for a 1 gallon keg. i woud buy the tap seperatly, bungs too but only if they can be washed...

    Storing hops

    i store mine in airtight kilner jars in a cool room. they have been there for just over two months and they still look and smell fresh. i was nervous as i dont have a freezer and this was the next best thing and it seems to be working out fine

    Keeping it at a steady 12-14 in a dark cupboard, gonna leave it there for three weeks then two weeks at room tempreture to carbonate then about four weeks in a walk in fridge at work to condition. Like I say fingers crossed

    yeah after the two weeks carbonating i took them to work and put them in the big walk in fridge, ill take them back and give it another couple of weeks and see if there is any difference. would opening the bottles and re capping them do anything ?

    hi guys, opened one of my first biab beers last night ( a light lager made with lager malt, flaked maize and herbsbruker hops) conditioned it for two weeks at room temp then into the fridge at 3-5 oc for four weeks, tastes great and carbonation is good, only problem is when i went to pour it...

    no this is the first time brewing that kit, i have done the coopers heritage lager, youngs pilners and youngs harvest lager kits, one with brown suger and two with brew enhancer 2.

    ah bugger no i have no way of checking. i take it then two weeks at room tempreture wont introduce any dubious flavours even though it was true lager yeast i used ? i can easy bring it out of the fridge for another week. cheers for the heads up lads
