    Advise

id agree with mansemasher, ive done the coopers heritage lager and it was pretty decent, also the youngs harvest pilsner was pretty tasty. basic kits but still decent. only thing i would do different with them is using dry malt extract instead of suger and bin the yeast that comes with the kit...

    Need some advice!

im sure all the guys with more expirience than me will agree with me here, ignore the kit instructions when it comes to timings. its a good marketing ploy to say you can have beer ready to drink within two weeks but it will definately be better if you leave it for longer. i reckon when you get...

    Need some advice!

hi mate, general opinion is to leave the beer in primary for two weeks minimum. the yeast will continue to work and "clean up" the beer during this period. patience and a hydrometer are your best friends here

    Canadian Blonde Flavour

i did mine with the coopers brew enhancer one. id done a coopers heritage and youngs pilsner kit before the blonde and they were good, less of a twang but still something there. i suppose the best thing about it was it pushed me quicker to all grain and the difference in quality is ten fold.

    carbonation at low temps

Yeah I reckoned that would be the case. I don't mind leaving them for ages straight in the cold if it would improve the flavour as I have a good stock built up now but after checking the Internet as well it seems there is no advantage to putting them straight in the cold

    carbonation at low temps

hi guys, maybe an obvious one here, but ill ask anyway. was wondering if there are any advantages to the beer if straight after bottling you stick it straight in the cold ? i have brewed a biab lager using salflager 23. the celler at work is a constant 10 degrees, will the beer still carbonate...
