    High final gravity

Aye, well that's what I was thinking, maybe just a wee stir to rouse the yeast and trub that's settled at the bottom, but wasnt sure if that was kosher

Hi guys, what's the procedure for adding rolled oats to a mash ? Is there anything you have to do to them before hand like grinding or soaking or do you just mix them in amongst your grain and mash as normal ?

    Hydrating dry yeast

Hi guys, why do we rehydrate dry yeast ? I've been doing it since I started but the packets always say just top sprinkle over the top. Is dehydrating a much butter process than just following the manufacturer instructions ?

    Saflager s-23

Hi guys, so I've made the munich helles from james Morton's "brew" book. Only difference is I halved the recipe as i only wanted a 10 litre batch. His projected OG is 1.046 to 1.048, but my original gravity was 1.060. I'm presuming i got a higher OG as i milled my own grain and did it very...

    uncrushed grain

Does crushing just before use have any advantage then ? Or should I save myself the £80 and not bother with the crusher ?
