    I would normally reduce the temperature of the wort to around 80 using the counter flow chiller. At that point add the hops and whirlpool for a couple of min then leave for 30mins or so before transferring

    Rather than using a standard bung/airlock I attach a tri clamp with a barb fitting and use it as a blow off tube. After around 4 days fermentation I attach the tube to a myler balloon which collects the c02 from fermentation when I use the transfer valve to take samples, bottle or keg the only...

    I got this kit a couple of weeks ago, went for the new kegland kegs due to size, kegged my first beer at the weekend and everything seems to be good quality. Am really pleased with the purchase so far.

    Thanks I've emailed a hobbyweld agent near me (Leeds) to if they stock it, from looking at the hobbyweld site they don't appear to list that they supply food grade CO2 just the welding type.

    Cracked on early today on my 4th hallertauer Pilsner brewed it a couple of months ago, managed to hurt my back building a desk for my partner, no head on the beer but I like mine low carbed
