    eBay Kveik

Each to their own I suppose. I'm not using any more than most of the recipes I see around. Probably the upper end of the scale but definitely not off it.

    eBay Kveik

I like a hoppy NEIPA. I see no issue with that much hops between a hopstand and two dry hops.

    eBay Kveik

So it's come out quiet well. I tried the Framgarden for NEIPA and kegged it 7 days later. Just tried a wee sample. 350g of hops in this so a slight bit of burn from them but I think it will be great in a week.

Fridge heater - is it worth buying anything fancy?

Fridge (2nd hand), heat belt and non-wifi InkBird. All for less than £80. No complaints with my set up butI wish I pushed the boat out that little bit further for the WiFi unit.

    Pressure fermentation

As above but I'd only disagree about using yeast like verdant. No pressure till the first dry hop then ramp it up. I've done the same recipe in my bucket and my all-rounder. The pressure fermented one tasted very similar but far nicer (hard to explain). I think it's down to letting the yeast do...

The all rounders are no more

I didn't know that. £45 is a bit steep but for what it is I think acceptable. You just saved me £15 when mine does need to be replaced 👍🏻

The all rounders are no more

If they would just sell the bubble on its own without the lid, etc. then price would probably not be an issue to most. I'm guessing when people do want to replace it this all they are looking for.

The all rounders are no more

We just need this lad on it 😂

The all rounders are no more

I love my all rounder. It has some issues but I love being able to see what's going on in my brew. I'll happily get another when it gives up the ghost.

    Brewferm Grain Gorilla

I'm just looking at this mill now. Long term are you happy with it?

Do you fully disassemble kegs each time when you clean it?

Yeap... and after a hop heavy NEIPA I do the same with my tap.

Drying Kveik for the first time

That video is probably why I decided to dry it. Pretty sure he says in it that drying & freezing Kveik is the best way to store it.

Drying Kveik for the first time

It was more of an experiment than anything. I do plan to try out both. Never heard that about the first top crop. I have a dehydrator but it's an Insta Pot Duo Crisp and it was busy with sunday's slow cooked tagine!

Drying Kveik for the first time

That's what I was thinking. The Kveik registry doesn't say if it is to be harvested from the top or bottom so I'm guessing both is okay and the bottom is were the flakes I got came from.

Drying Kveik for the first time

As in boil up some water and dextrose?

    Replacement yeast?

Learned that one the hard way. We'll just say the yeast packet got a nice warm bath 😂

    Replacement yeast?

I used M20 recently and thought it came out really well.

Drying Kveik for the first time

Hi, I got some Framgarden flakes with the intention of harvesting and drying for future brews. First time trying to harvest any yeast so this was more of an experiment than anything. I've read blogs & watched videos on the subject and the following was my procedure. Pitched yeast and waited...
