    Woo hoo! New beer fridge

I should look into this. My wife isn't happy that I've taken over a freezer compartment in the kitchen fridge 😂

    Woo hoo! New beer fridge

100%. I even run my kegerator off an STC-1000 so I can raise & lower the temp to suit. I thought most would be doing similar hence the question about the freezer.

    Woo hoo! New beer fridge

To be honest, I never thought about having a freezer on my setup. I've been looking for a larder fridge for my new project to be used with my inkbird.

What do you do with the freezer compartment?

    Golden Naked Oats

What is a good crush gap for them (I have 2-roller million)? First time crushing them myself and I see a lot of variance for sizes in internet searches. Mostly all "finer than your usual crush".

    Kegland MK4 high pressure gauge

No, Bangor NI. I work 100 miles from my house so bed early and up early 😂 A new dial is cheap... I just didn't want to wait for it to come all the way from china. It's really odd because there was no damage to the housing but the dial was definitely buckled. I normally keep it in my keezer but...

    Kegland MK4 high pressure gauge

I actually got it the other day. There are 3/4 dimples or spot welds that hold the front cover on that I struggled with. Nothing a bit of persuasion with a 3mm flat head didn't sort out.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

On the left is my Gregg Hughes NEIPA (but with some extra hops) which is quite nice and on the right is something that almost made me vomit.

    Kegland MK4 high pressure gauge

Hi. I think I've busted my high pressure gauge on my Kegland MK4 (no idea how it happened). The low pressure side works no problem but the dial appears to be slightly compressed on the high pressure side. The body doesn't have any observable damage. Just wondering if it is... A) serviceable? B)...

Don't suppose you found somewhere that sells it?

    eBay Kveik

I've bought a few of your yeasts and think they're all great. I bought the Ebbgarden and haven't and it been sitting in my freezer for a few months now because I'm a bit worried about bacteria cross contamination in my all-rounder. Do you think it could be a problem even after cleaning with...

    BZ 3.1.1 Pump Noise

Definitely was the pump. Sounded almost exactly like a KL bucket blaster running but just pulsing. Mines not too old... Maybe there is a gen 4 pump in there 😂

    BZ 3.1.1 Pump Noise

Probably 50 times now. I've literally just started the hopstand /whirlpool and there is no noise at all and pumping like a trooper. Very strange. I don't think a bit of stuck grain would have made those cycling hums. Sidenote... What a day for a brew out the back in NI!

    BZ 3.1.1 Pump Noise

Has anyone had their BZ pump make this noise? It's definitely not blocked (stripped down and cleaned last brew) and I didn't notice this cycling hum until after the grains went in (NEIPA recipe) but the wort is still flowing now problem. Maybe just age? She's almost 2 years old now. Cheers J

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Picked up a couple of bottles of the NEIPA in Letterkenny recently.... Lovely.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

My Belgian Triple. I've been trying to do one for a while now but think I've finally cracked it.

    Greg Hughes recipes

I've made a good few from "the bible" and all have turned out great. The only recipe I tweaked was the NEIPA for dry hopping.

    Cantilevered hearth

    You better believe that 😂

    Cantilevered hearth

Yeah I've no intention of moving it. I was just worried because it doesn't sound too solid. My mother in law stays in this room when she is over and knowing her would stand right on it. I've a builder coming in a few weeks and I'll see what he says.

    Cantilevered hearth

Hi, I'm renovating a room in my 1880s home and came across this on the top floor. It's stone, in front of the chimney so I'm assuming it's a hearth but when I knock it with my fist it sound like it's not solid and cantilevered from the wall. Anyone seen something like this before?
