Picture or Video of the day.

My colleagues have generously fined me cakes for being involved in a POLAC (police accident), thanked me for assisting in getting rid of a Pug (supposed to be getting new Vauxhalls - don't hold your breath) and have generously suggested a new form of transport for me to use

Picture or Video of the day.

Another car themed picture from this morning. I was in the passenger seat. My oppo did a fantastic job minimising the effect of an inevitable collision, aches and pains all round and a few days off work but nothing serious.

    Twitter.

I go on twitter, mostly for pet rat pictures, including ours and police related stories. I'm totally anonymous and neither wind people up, well not too much, or get into arguments myself. I have no problem with someone spending their own money buying what they want - I'm buying a new CD...

    1 litre PET bottle suppliers

I used to drink Grolsh in the NAAFI in Germany. It worked out at 25p a bottle (late 80's) and a double spirit was 15p. It's no wonder we were pi$$ed most of the time. Grolsh would give me a two day hangover.

    1 litre PET bottle suppliers

I got a load of swing top glass beer bottles from Aldi under the same method. I figured even if I didn't like the 99p lager in them it was still cheaper than 'proper'H/B bottles. as it was the contents were indeed vile but a friend of mine generously volunteered to empty them down the drain...

    Curry...!!

Kashmiri chillis (whole and powdered) give a beautiful red tint and I would say the flavour is rich and deep rather than fiery. I would say it equates to a medium hot conventional chilli powder. If I'm 'chukinitinabukit' cooking, Kashmiri chilli is my go to for a it of oomph.

    Curry...!!

Last Sunday, SWMBO was away visiting her reptiles relatives. I did Misty Ricardo's Butter chicken. Not one I'd done before but I did it faithfully - apart from a dash of milk instead of cream as we didn't have any. MR describes it as a once a year dish as it is rich and uses 'a lot' of ghee. the...

    Weiss Beer Kit

I checked on it after four days and it was fine, a week later and ready to drop it and it had gone off. I shall get another brew on next week and order another Weiss kit in the fullness of time.

    Weiss Beer Kit

Unfortunately the Weiss Beer kit picked up something unmentionable and has been binned. All kit and the brew fridge will have a deep clean before activity is resumed

    Weiss Beer Kit

I finally got the Festival Weiss kit on yesterday and it is bubbling away nicely in the brew fridge. Updates to follow as we go

The most discusting brew you could make

    You couldn't make it up.

To paraphrase an apocryphal quote sometimes attributed to Albert Einstein "There are only two things that are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, though I'm not sure but the universe."

    You couldn't make it up.

Ain't no cure for stupid. I gave a bloke a ticket the other day for driving with a dog sitting on his lap!

What's the crappiest place in the UK?

I worked with a bloke who began his policing career in Rhyl. Some of the stories he told were scarcely credible. I went there for a day in high summer with the family as we passed by. Definitely one of those places you stop for a pee, a bag of chips and a leg stretch but leave before it gets...

What's the crappiest place in the UK?

I knew a girl in the Army from Goole. She was known (with passing acknowledgement to a certain Macc Lads song) as Julie the Goolie!
