Another car themed picture from this morning. I was in the passenger seat. My oppo did a fantastic job minimising the effect of an inevitable collision, aches and pains all round and a few days off work but nothing serious.

I used to drink Grolsh in the NAAFI in Germany. It worked out at 25p a bottle (late 80's) and a double spirit was 15p. It's no wonder we were pi$$ed most of the time. Grolsh would give me a two day hangover.

I got a load of swing top glass beer bottles from Aldi under the same method. I figured even if I didn't like the 99p lager in them it was still cheaper than 'proper'H/B bottles. as it was the contents were indeed vile but a friend of mine generously volunteered to empty them down the drain...

Kashmiri chillis (whole and powdered) give a beautiful red tint and I would say the flavour is rich and deep rather than fiery. I would say it equates to a medium hot conventional chilli powder. If I'm 'chukinitinabukit' cooking, Kashmiri chilli is my go to for a it of oomph.

Not one I'd done before but I did it faithfully - apart from a dash of milk instead of cream as we didn't have any. I checked on it after four days and it was fine, a week later and ready to drop it and it had gone off. I shall get another brew on next week and order another Weiss kit in the fullness of time.

Unfortunately the Weiss Beer kit picked up something unmentionable and has been binned. All kit and the brew fridge will have a deep clean before activity is resumed

I finally got the Festival Weiss kit on yesterday and it is bubbling away nicely in the brew fridge. Updates to follow as we go
