Used it today on my lines as I thought the faucet brush plug was starting to smell of vinegar. For the past 6 months I've been storing with beer in the line on active kegs or Starsan on disused lines. Surprisingly came out purple straight away. 5 minute soak and no crud. That has given me an idea (no doubt what some already do). I'm going to use the pressurised blown keg to pressure transfer from keg 2 with sanitizer to keg 3 that's empty. That'll give me keg 2 partly gassed and ready for a closed loop transfer (hopefully).

I like the Dark Rock kits, preferring them to Mangrove Jacks, but no idea how they compare to AG.

Hi all, I'm going to be investing in the Maischfest post Xmas for BIAB. I'll be fermenting in my Fermzilla all rounder and want to keg 19l of beer. That being the case, would the 30L boiler be sufficient or should I just pay the extra for the 35L? Would their be any downsides to going...

Brew it to see whether the kits were as bad as we remember or whether it was technique. I very clearly remember my Dad brewing in the airing cuoboard, FVuo against the hot water tank.

Not quite the same but 2 young boys mean I can't do AG - given the time required - so I do kit. Maybe try that and sell only the AG specific stuff?

It's in a temp controlled brew fridge so it was set at that temp with a +/-0.5 range. Heater won't have been on all the time but it would have been on a significant amount I guess.

Thanks. The other 3 DR kits I've done we're either 1.041or 1.042 so I'd assumes this would be similar. So long as it tastes good and has a decent abv I'll be very happy.
