Vimto Turbo Cider - No added sugar Vimto

Thanks chaps. I think I'll whack on two batches and see what happens. The first I'll add everything in at the beginning and let it run its course. The second I'll add the cordial after initial fermentation has finished and count the sugar in the cordial (according to the label it works out at...

Vimto Turbo Cider - No added sugar Vimto

I see there are a few threads relating to Vimto Turbo Cider but I've looked through and couldn't find anything relating to my particular question. I'm planning a batch of Vimto TC and I'm wondering about using the No Added Sugar variety. Has anyone tried this? I'm wondering if the sweeteners...

    One for the computer enthusiasts

When clearing out the warehouse at work (I'm a photocopier engineer) I found a pile of 8mb memory upgrade kits. Almost as old as I am! I particularly like the part where it says it works out at under $200 a meg! About half the cost of competing systems?!?!?!

    Show your mo

I took part for the first time this year. I'm ashamed to say my mo is so light it doesn't show up well on my phone camera:(

"Two weeks in the cool so the co2 is absorbed by the beer"

Thanks, that's good to know. I'm running out of space in my fridge and my fiance isn't to happy that we can't fit a lot of food in there at the moment :D

"Two weeks in the cool so the co2 is absorbed by the beer"

Just because it's not cold doesn't mean it will be flat. My understanding of forced carbonation is that it doesn't matter what temp the beer is at because the co2 has been forced into the beer under pressure. I don't think temperature has much to do with it. With homebrewing and natural...

PC Security - Hacked Bank :(

What happens if you forget the password for that folder?? They don't. They give you the option to remember your username on their site but not the password. Any storing of usernames and passwords isn't stored on the banks system but locally on your PC. Your browser may prompt you and...

    modifying a Coopers IPA

I'm at the point where I want to start modding kits but I haven't made the jump yet. Not sure if it'll help but I came across this after a quick search! http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=33127

    Is a Arduino the future?

I think you still need the else statement in there, what that says is if the temp is greater that 25 turn the LED on turn and off. You are asking it to do both when the temp is greater than 25. What you want is if it's greater than 25 light the LED, if it's anything else, switch it off. Does...

    Brew fridge temperature

Fermentation generates heat. I don't have a brew fridge myself, hopefully soon!, but I'd expect that the air temp would have to be a bit lower than the liquid temp in order to keep the temp down.

    first bottle bin raid

I've been going round to my nearest Tesco's bottle bin every Thursday, they get emptied on a Friday morning :D Had to make do with green this time because the brown glass bin wasn't full enough to reach! My current batch is Coopers Euro Lager so I guess it fits! Having a bit of a nightmare...

    Sanitise new kit?

Sanitization and good cleanliness are pretty much the same thing though aren't they? Just because they didn't use a sanitizer product doesn't mean they didn't sanitize their equipment. Whatever the method the end result is the same, nice clean sanitary kit!

    Sanitise new kit?

What the heck is that??? I'm sure it won't be nearly as exciting as it sounds! :D

    Sanitise new kit?

Better safe than sorry! I got one of the Coopers starter kits and it said on the DVD just to rinse it but I cleaned and sanitised anyways. You wouldn't want to ruin your first brew over something so easy!

    Stupid question...

I thought the same thing when I started up a few weeks ago. Then I actually tried it and found short of super glue or duct tape, the lid doesn't fit tight enough to create a seal. I've left them on with no problems.
