    I don't watch T.V.

I listen to a ton of audiobooks. I used to read a lot but started to struggle with it before I eventually got glasses. Kept up the habit of audiobooks after. I also do a lot of training in my own time. More certifications = bonus payments and payrises :)

    T.V viewing. [Poll]

Leaving aside the streaming services, I watch exactly zero TV, on average :laugh8: We don't have a TV licence anymore.

I'm ready for biab suggestions please

Have a google for 'Biabacus'. It's a spreadsheet specifically for BIAB and I use it exclusively. It's a lot to get your head round to start but it's a brilliant bit of kit!

    Cold brew...

I'd put money on your OG of 1020 being false due to the kit not mixing properly in the cold water. If all the sugary goodness hadn't dissolved then the OG will be low but the finished beer will be the strength it's supposed to be, because the yeast will still eat the sugar. I doubt very much...

    Trump has Covid.

Better move this to the 'Joke of the Day' thread. Will he f*ck. :laugh8:

    Greg Hughes recipes

Currently enjoying a pint of Greg Hughes Cream Ale. Beats the pants off any number of commercial lagers I've had in the past. Also got a batch of his American IPA in the FV too, I've got high hopes for it!

    Yaldi IPA

Leave me out of this................ :laugh8: :laugh8::laugh8::laugh8::laugh8::laugh8: I did try a can and wasn't impressed at all! I did have a pint of Punk earlier in the day so I though I might have just been hoping for too much but I don't think I'll be rushing back to buy it again.

Soda stream refill from up gas bottle

Holy Necrothread batman! I guess it depends how much beer they've had since it was posted in 2015, they might not remember! 😆😆😆😆😆

    Conditioning/Clearing

Any temp difference between the keg and the bottles? Are the bottles at room temp carbonating or are they in the kegerator too? Could be a bit of chill haze from the pint out of the keg. The bottles I've got in my fridge were crystal clear when the went in but decidedly cloudy now!

    Giveaway-Lerway Fermentation Heating Pad

I have a hacked together STC1000 controller but it's getting to be time for an upgrade!

    Another malt supplier

They're only about half an hour up the road from me, I like the idea of keeping it local with the way things are right now.

    Bottle carbonation temperature

Isn't it the amount of priming sugar you add that dictates final level of carbonation? If you calculate the proper amount of sugar to use to get the level you want, why would try to slow or stop fermentation? Once the sugar is gone, it'll stop by itself, won't it? The higher the temp, the...

    Accidental TIPA, help?!

Are you sure the original recipe was for 3kg of malt for a 7 litre batch? That seems a lot. Especially if you added sugar too! I do 11L brews and 3kgs give me 10L of finished beer at about 5.5%. If i did the same amount of malt and added sugar in a 7L brew id probably be getting into Captain...

    Small batches and yeast.

I currently do 10L batches, stovetop BIAB. I've just started using the same method as @MyQul after reading his posts. I put 1 gram of dry yeast into 500-600ml starter and the rest of the yeast goes in the freezer. I've only done two batches using this method so far but both took off like a...

    Lager brew

I've never heard of fermentation temp affecting the colour of a beer. Mine always looks darker in the kettle/FV than they do in the glass!

    Fast food litter

I don't see why the food places should be made to be responsible for the litter, it's people and a lack of care/responsibility that's the problem. Do car manufacturers get fines when people are caught speeding in cars they made? If they did you could guarantee cars would be speed limited...
