Any benefit to building an Inkbird PID box?

Thanks, that sort of makes sense to me. Haha I'm still wrapping my head around how they work, I like learning new things so will watch a few more videos too.

Any benefit to building an Inkbird PID box?

That looks really good, are you just controlling the Peco boiler with that? I'd be interested to build something similar, although I think I'd have to do a lot of reading before attempting something as intricate as that.

    Fabricated mash tun basket

Did you ever get any luck with this? Looking for something similar.

WANTED: 1/2" hole cutter for steel.

If I do need again, I'll ask for it back and send on again :) I like recycling, don't mind paying for postage if it means something gets some good use and doesn't get binned, however long down the line that may be.

WANTED: 1/2" hole cutter for steel.

I'll do this, if I end up having to buy one to use just once, whether it is £10 or higher, I'll offer it on here to the next person for free. Why would I hold on to something I'll probably never use again? Just thought maybe somebody else would feel the same. Maybe not...

WANTED: 1/2" hole cutter for steel.

I'm sure tons of people on here have bought either a step drill bit, hole punch or similar for their steel pots. Paid over a tenner, used it once then it has been collecting dust ever since. So, who wants to send one to me, I'll use once and then I'll send back to you? Or even better, I'll send...

Any benefit to building an Inkbird PID box?

I plan to use an Inkbird for my BIAB setup to control mash temp, along with a pump to recirculate the wort. I could buy an ITC-308 which I've used before and was fine, but have been looking at the ITC-100 which appeals to me as I like tinkering with things and building one into a box seems like...

Cheapest place to buy Silicone O-Rings?

Thanks, ordered 50 of them for £2.50 from China. That's 50 O-rings for the same price just the postage on 1 single O-ring would cost me in UK. I'm all for supporting local and everything but when UK suppliers are getting them from China and selling them for 30 times the price, it is pretty...

Cheapest place to buy Silicone O-Rings?

The red ones (I guess colour doesn't matter), for a 1/2" ball valve or thermo well. £1 each on keg kingdom - 1/2" silicone o ring I have no use for all the other sizes so not worth the price.

Cheapest place to buy Silicone O-Rings?

I need a few 1/2" silicone o-rings as a couple I have on my kettle are starting to perish. Last time I bought some about 5 years ago I swear I got about 20 for £2 including delivery, now all I can find is around £1 each without delivery, which is ridiculous for a tiny bit of silicone.

SS Brewtech Ball Valve PTFE Bushings

Just bought a second hand Brewtech kettle and when taking the 3 piece ball valve apart I noticed a lot of gunk inside the main housing due to the bushings been slightly warn down and not making a proper seal with the ball. I can't find anywhere with replacements in stock, anybody know of...

Spiedel fermenters 2x20l, 12l, stainless steel fermenter 35l, hopspider, brewbag and a few other items

I'd be interested in the capper and caps, just been looking to buy one. Would need to be shipped which I'm happy to pay for, will also make a donation to charity. I usually use Collect+ so I could arrange delivery and send the label?

Would it be worth me investing?

Bump as I'm also interested in this.

    Spec me an element.

Thanks for the info, these look pretty good and I like the idea of a tri-clamp connected element for easy removal for cleaning. Does anybody use these elements with an inkbird or similar? Would there be any issues doing this? My plan is to build a BIAB setup where I can plug the element into an...

    Spec me an element.

Ha, we had an electrician come out recently to update the fuse box as we were having problems, he said the one before it was maybe from the 70s. He replaced the box but didn't do any updates to the wiring (landlady's choice) he said it is safe but there's not as much room for power as there...

    Spec me an element.

Thanks, it is something I am aware of and keep in mind. In my current rented house I would not be able to brew with elements as the electric is terrible. It is safe, but overloads all the time with washer/dish washer running or even my phones fast charger in some sockets. We are planning to...
