Gervin English Ale Yeast For Lager

Neither of them are Lager yeasts, the common and easily available one is 34/70. If you can't get it in time ferment at as low a temp as you can, the temp range should be on the packet. The best thing you can do is postpone the brew and use two packets (lager needs twice as much) of 34/70 as...

what ***** designed the silicone seals for the grainfather

Leave an off, the very very first GFs didn't have them they were added cause owners didn't want the inside of the MP scratched. They are fiddly to fit, it often takes me two or three tries but I always manage it. AAmcle

Is the Meghan Interview with Oprah a big deal in the UK? Is/was Oprah Winfrey a big celeb with you folks?

1, who cares? 2, who gives a dam? 3, Celeb tantrums? 4, Soap Opera! I prefer the idea of the Queen to that of President Blair or President Redwood ... That would be right out of Steven King novel!! But bring the £ (all of it) back into the public purse and make the sucking parasites get jobs...

    Overpitching Yeast

Unless you're brewing something that requires under pitching yeast to deliberately stress it homebrewers are hardly likely to have a problem. Commercial breweries use vast amounts of yeast and make good beers. If you ask here, may need a new thread, about pitching on the Yeast cake you will...

    Brupaks - Brubox/Brubag

Morning All. I was looking at the Beers of the World 10litre kits and came across some references to brubox and brubags. I had a look a breupaks--.com site but I still don't know anything useful about them. May I ask? 1, What are they? 2, Can they be used with highly carbonated beers -...

    Cost of Beer Kits

It's almost two threads :- Cost per brew. Cost of hobby. They are linked we all like to think we're making a great saving against bought beers. If cost alone is a factor it's hard to beat a cheap 1 can kit and a bag of sugar, I couldn't beat that even brewing a BIAB SMASH although the taste...

    No-chill in a pressure barrell

You should be OK (no guarantee) if you carefully sanitise the PB and let the wort cool a bit in your boiler.. DON'T seal the PB after you fill it as it cools it may be sucked in, just leave the lid loose or cover the top with a cloth soaked in starsan. ATB aamcle
