£35+PP for a sachet of yeast?

Some times it's out of stock but rather than take the item down and put it back later they put up a huge price. Expecting no sales

    Forming a virtual brewing club?

You don't need to publicly share addresses they can go by direct messaging. Say 50+ posts to get in, hopefully that might keep the spammers out. It's a very good idea to go big, I Skype with a group of mates most Fridays and it works out well.

    Fridge or Freezer for Cornies?

My chest freezer has died so I need to replace it. If I get another chest freezer I need a collar to make it tall enough but a fridge might not get to -1°C for lagering. What do you think? Fridge or Freezer? It's going in the garage. Atb. Aamcle

    Lagering question

Bottle it then lager it, it's not the ideal way to do it but it fits your cirumstances. -1°C if you can and you will just need a week. aamcle

    DIY BIAB Setup

Try for a second hand stainless boiler, all that boiling water in a plastic bucket frightens me! I used one of those pumps for years and they do have their limitations but I found backflushing it with water from the tap worked. In several years of Brewing I never had a contamination I could...

Cost of Yeast Starters? Alternatives to DME?

Next up is a reiterating mash, the first runnings I will ferment but it depends on the SG of the second if it's good starter material. Sadly I have very little space to store frozen sort.

Cost of Yeast Starters? Alternatives to DME?

Cost of Yeast Starters? Alternatives to DME? Generally I try to use dry yeast and no starter but today I have a 4litre starter bubbling away, I'm over building so I have extra yeast to store. But the cost of DmE can be £7.50 for 500g so it's a considerable contribution to the cost of a batch...
