Beer engine + check valve + KeyKeg

I'm not an expert on these setups, but I don't think the demand valve is adjustable. I believe the way it works is it will hold a pressure up to 45 psi on the keg side of the valve. As you use the hand pump, it creates a vacuum on the delivery side of the valve and opens. I don't think you...

Beer engine + check valve + KeyKeg

I use this demand Valve in my set up http://cfbsonline.co.uk/index.php/check-valve-demand-valve-with-3-8-jg-in-1-2-barbed-out.html I use a king keg - Demand Valve - Angram pump. Set the pressure to approx. 3 - 5 psi in the keg and it works well.

Beer you just don't like/can't drink

I don't like most of the commercial lagers, too pissy and fizzy for my liking. I don't like Greene King IPA, Boddingtons or John Smiths.....

    Hobbies.

Unfortunately not, it's a 50s Rock and Roll band. It's not a very busy band, doesn't gig much. I would love to play in a Rockabilly band. I listen to bands like Stray Cats and the Brian Setzer Orchestra. The Double Bass is my favourite instrument to play.

    Hobbies.

I have always had many hobbies, I don't watch telly or films. I've always been into my cars and bikes, had a few bikes over the years and currently have a Suzuki Hayabusa. I have also got a Westfield Seight which is a Lotus 7/Caterham type of car. It has a Rover 3.5 litre V8 in it which makes...

    Hop plants/rhizomes - growing report

I don't know the best place to get them, but I got mine from http://www.willingham-nurseries.co.uk/hop.html last year and they have done very well in their first year.

    Tea (Hop) Strainers

I have the same ones. I use them in the boil with a maximum of 30g leaf hop in each of them. I wouldn't use them to dry hop, I just chuck my pellets straight in.

    CO2 suppliers in Hampshire

I have just been given a Corny Keg for my birthday (Mrs Bigjas is a keeper) so I need to find a local supplier of CO2. I live in Fareham and after searching this forum and Google I have come up with Andover Patio Centre. Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere nearer to the south...

Potential Micro pub homebrew shop & nano brewery

I think it's a great idea and you will make it work. So long as the punters get quality beer and great service, it will succeed. Too many pubs fail on these two basic attributes regardless of their size etc. Good luck with your venture, I wish I had the balls to do something like this.

using Starsan / sanitiser in hard water area

I live in a hard water area, so I use distilled water from my local hardware shop. I use ph testing strips to check the ph of the mixed starsan before use. I use a spray bottle and it lasts months/or until empty.

    Hand pump

You can connect a King Keg to a hand pull. I have a bar in my lounge with an Angram CQ Handpump. I connect this to my King Keg via a demand valve. Just need to keep an eye on the pressure in the King Keg (I have gauges on my legs) and keeping it at about 3 - 5 psi seems to work well. I am just...
