Anybody tried Fermenting wine under pressure?

Possibly. I Know it helps with the beer. I bought my fermentsaurus second hand. I did have to invest some money in the sodastream adapter and ballocks/picnik taps though. But the fridge was free.

Ideas for brewing in warmer climate

Then just get yourself a pack of Kveik yest. It's awesome. Haven't used anything else for a long time. In specific Voss Kveik. When fermented at low temps(25-30degrees) it makes a clean and crisp beer. It also doesn't really care about changes in temp. It's really a chuck iyøt in and forget...

    Apple juice cider lacking something.

Me to with the Kveik. I've haven't used anything else in over a year. Just awesome in everything. Last one was a 100% red x with eldorado hops. It's such a nice beer and so pretty. Also Made a beer in November with Mandarina Bavaria and Ekuanot. Just incredible. I'm actually making a cider...

Ideas for brewing in warmer climate

My advice is to ferment under pressure. Buy a fermentasaurus and a Spunding valve or a blowtievalve. I've fermented all sorts of beers under pressure at higher than recommended temps. No of flavours. Recently I made a rose wine in it, fermented at 28 degrees. Finished and clear in 8 days. It...

    Your Best DIY Equipment?

Hi. Yeah it's an OK pump. Don't expect a super strong draw from it, but it works fine. Also does not come with cable. I used an old 12v charger I had laying around...

    eBay/amazon counter pressure bottle filler

This one for example. https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32762807415.html?trace=wwwdetail2mobilesitedetail A bit more expensive than when I bought it. You can probably find it cheaper.

    eBay/amazon counter pressure bottle filler

Places like ebay, aliexpress etc. Just put in beer gun and pick the cheapest one.

    eBay/amazon counter pressure bottle filler

Also the blickmans beer gun clone work fine. With that one you can purge the bottle before filling. I've used it a lot, but beware of using it with too high pressure. Max 14psi. Or you'll have a mess on your hands

    eBay/amazon counter pressure bottle filler

Try googling poor mans beer gun. Really inexpensive and works like a charm. The beer needs to be cold and the pressure low. I've been using it for all my bottles since I started kegging. I was also looking at those counterpressure fillers but nahh.... To much work

    Kveik

As for bottling if you bottle with sugar it will take more or less the same time as with other yeasts to fully carb. I keg so grain to glass in max 10 days, depends if I dryhop or not. I also cold crash for clarity.

    Kveik

You can let it ferment for about 2-3 days at recommended temps, than cool it down a bit and start dryhopping. It's what I do anyway. I've read that dryhopping at high temps makes the beer bitter.

    Kveik

At least for some, voss and horningdal i know but haven't tried others, fermenting at lower temps (25-28) gives a clean flavour and still ferments fast. Voss gets a lager taste at 28. Crisp and clean. Over 30 you get those nice Kveik esters like orangey greatness
  16. SmallSpacesBrewing

    Kveik

Kveik doesn't finish fast at those temps. The thing about Kveik isn't really that it's faster, but that it allows you to ferment at higher temps without off flavours. If you'd pitch let's say US05 at 35 degrees it would most definitely finish in about 3 days also, the difference is that the beer...

    Lager that's not lagered

That would be me. I've been fermenting everything under pressure the last year. Mostly beer with Kveik yeast, also at high pressure(28 psi). My beers have never been better. This is the wine thread. https://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/threads/anybody-tried-fermenting-wine-under-pressure.83683/...

    Kveik

I've had a jar of slurry in the fridge for over a year. Pitched a small spoon and saw activity after 6 hours. This yeast is used to being dryed on wood and left hanging for a year. It'll take a little to kill it.
