    Kveik

Such an underrated yeast imo. Some of my best beers have been made with kveik. Open to all types (except maybe Belgian), fast and reliable.

Anybody tried Fermenting wine under pressure?

Thanks man😊 So the last wine lasted mere days, friends and family couldn't get enough. This time I used a little more nutrients and made it a bit lighter. It's been 3 days. Its fallen 80 points. Down to 1030. Smells awesome. Fermenting at 20 psi at 28degrees 😊 Vid is from the last one

Anybody tried Fermenting wine under pressure?

Hey again guys 😊 my latest wine fermented under pressure is now finished and bottles. I'm actually really pleased with the results. It finished with an FG of 0995. I didn't sweeten it, I like my whites dry. I did have some lag time for it to start fermenting and then it took more time to clear...

I've also tried kveik in a cider. Didn't like it much so I would be interested in hearing about your results.

Anybody tried Fermenting wine under pressure?

It's all about the heat really. I also prefer the pressure ferment cause of the fact that nothing comes in contact with the wine during fermentation, you can also serve from the barrel.

Anybody tried Fermenting wine under pressure?

Yes I was soyyojuli on here, but after I got up my YouTube chanel, and my Instagram I had to get a common name. Anyway. Small update on the wine. I'm making one now, and I've had some troubles. First it lagged for days, even with the heat, and then it wouldn't clear. I suspect the yeast was a...

    Kveik

Kveik is an incredible yeast. Can be used to make most styles except Belgian likne you said. Don't really make those anyway so.

    Kveik

What he said 😊 I do however cold crash. I find that it clears faster that way, though not always. My Voss Strain is from the farm and I think one of the 7 or 8 yeasts that are in it doesn't like to clear and I've noticed that sometimes it takes ages if ever to clear. I mostly use horningdal...

Anybody tried Fermenting wine under pressure?

Hi. I find it very cool that my post is the first on Google search. :DI put pressure on right after adding the yeast. Don't want any of those off flavours to develop while waiting for the pressure to build. If the kit says that it'll handle up to 30 degrees it must be a very weird yeast. I'm...

    Kveik

No problem. I've been using kveik almost exclusively for the last 3 years. Any questions, feel free to ask

    Kveik

Room temp is fine. The high temp is just for it to do its thing and finish in 3 days or less

    Anybody making custom labels?

I use canva. It's really easy to use and they come out great. Also there's pre-done labels you can use as a base which is kinda cool. Made one today

    Wort recirculation Vs not

I just use the tap to control flow.

    Wort recirculation Vs not

I've used mine on a bunch of brews with no problem. I always clean it out after use with water. Never had to take it apart, I do however have a bazooka filter installed.
